Serie - Extraordinary: The series renewed for a second season currently shooting in London

Disney+ has just confirmed that filming has begun on the 2nd season of its original series "Extraordinary" from creator and writer Emma Moran and Sid Gentle Films. The renewal of the series for a second season was announced in London last week by Johanna Devereaux, Disney+'s Vice President of Fiction and Executive Producer. The first season has been available on Disney+ in its entirety since January 25. Extraordinary is a British superhero comedy television series created by Emma Moran. 

Season 2 picks up where the first season leaves off. Ten years ago, everyone over 18 discovered they had a superpower. But Jen, a 25-year-old who's not very comfortable in her sneakers, is still waiting to get hers (at this point, she'll settle for anything!). Lost in this vast world where she feels she doesn't know the codes and is quite desperate, Jen sets out to find her hypothetical superpower with her roommates, and discovers that being ordinary can be very rewarding.

Young British and Irish actors Máiréad Tyers (Jen), Sofia Oxenham (Carrie), Bilal Hasna (Kash) and Luke Rollason (Jizzlord), along with Siobhan McSweeney (Mary, Jen's mother) and Robbie Gee (Ian, her stepfather), will be in the cast of this second season.                                           

Conceived and written by Emma Moran, a young writer with a very particular universe, and directed by Toby McDonald ("Ragdoll"), Jennifer Sheridan ("Rules of the Game") and Nadira Amrani ("On the Edge"), "Extraordinary" is a sitcom full of freshness about the entry into adulthood and the difficulty of finding one's place when one knows that one will always remain ordinary

Sally Woodward Gentle, Lee Morris and Charles Dawson of Sid Gentle Films ("Killing Eve"), Emma Moran and Johanna Devereaux, Vice President of Drama at Disney+ are executive producers of the series executive produced by Charlie Palmer and Abíólá Rufai-Awójídé.

"Extraordinary" is the latest original British production to be released by Disney+, following "Wedding Season," a mix of thriller and romantic comedy, and the docuseries "S.O.S. David Beckham," currently available on the platform.

The series will only be available to an informed audience in the Star world and for profiles 18+. Disney+'s enhanced parental controls ensure an age-appropriate viewing experience, restricting access to certain content and allowing the creation of profiles locked by a PIN code. A suitable way to secure viewing for the youngest members of the family without altering the enjoyment of their elders.

Synopsis: 
Jen lives in a universe where everyone has superpowers... except her. Ah, well, super! This funny, bold and innovative coming-of-age story is about the difficulties of making a place for yourself in a world where everything is designed to make you ordinary.
