The Lego Group today unveils new flower bouquets and expands its botanical collection for builders with a wildflower bouquet and a Lego dried flower centerpiece.
The Lego Group launched its botanical collection in 2021, with the first Lego Flower Bouquet and Lego Bonsai. The collection has since expanded to include other brick plants, including the Lego orchid and Lego succulents. The two new products announced today are designed to help adult builders connect with their friends or family by building these decorative items together to cultivate happiness. They will be able to assemble the Lego Wildflower Bouquet (939 bricks) and the Lego Dried Flower Centerpiece (812 bricks) starting February 1, just in time for Valentine's Day. The products will be available in Lego stores and on Lego.com for €59.99 and €49.99, respectively.
Lego Wildflower Bouquet
The Lego Wildflower Bouquet brings together eight species of plants, with adjustable stems. Budding florists and plant lovers will be able to spend hours building and identifying the different flowers, inspired by blueberries, lavender, poppies, chervil, ferns, gerberas, dolphins and lupines. Once assembled, this bouquet of flowers can be displayed in a vase and will become a must-have decorative element to cultivate happiness in your home. This product was designed to complement the previously released Lego flower bouquet, so builders can either create two separate bouquets or combine the two sets into a single bouquet.
Lego Dried Flower Centerpiece
This Lego dried flower centerpiece is an opportunity for builders to create a maintenance-free home decor. This product is reminiscent of the subtle, calm and soft tones of autumn and includes a gerbera and rose in the center. Once completed, the construction can be hung on the wall or used as a centerpiece. Combined with one or two other products from the same collection, it will make a more intricate and rich table decoration (above right) that will dazzle guests. The set was designed in two parts so that two people can build it at the same time, providing the perfect way to share a relaxing moment with a loved one.
The Lego Botanical Collection is part of the Lego Adults Welcome line, which provides immersive building experiences for adults, while offering plant lovers the opportunity to create masterpieces to proudly display in their homes. These two new Lego bouquets invite you to relax and take a break from your busy life. This is especially important since the recent Lego Group Play Well 2022 study indicates that 80% of adults are actively looking for new ways to relax*, with the vast majority (87%) saying that play helps them feel calmer.
"With these new botanical creations, we want to help people connect. Whether it's for Mother's Day or Valentine's Day, or any other time of the year, why not give a Lego plant that lasts forever and take the time to build it together? We realize that plants bring joy and color to our daily lives, and our growing botanical collection was created with that in mind. Plants are a great way to bring people together and show our affection for each other," says Jamie Berard, Senior Design Manager at the Lego Group.
Digital assembly instructions, accessible via the Lego Builder app, are available in addition to the physical manual. They allow fans to build along with their friends and family, as well as zoom and rotate their creations as they build the model to better visualize it.
