VideoGames - Martial arts legend Bruce Lee joins the action in PUBG Mobile

PUBG MOBILE, one of the world's most popular mobile games, is kicking off 2023 by introducing a new partnership, this time with The Bruce Lee Family Company, to bring the international icon and one of the most influential martial artists of the 20th century to PUBG Mobile. 

Available on January 10, "Martial Showdown" arrives with update 2.4. PUBG MOBILE will host a celebration of martial arts across multiple maps in addition to other special in-game elements that reflect the unique cultural impact of Bruce Lee, still a combat sports icon like no other. PUBG MOBILE will offer players many ways to partner with the event with unique and iconic Bruce Lee items, ranging from outfit sets to headgear, and thus embrace the iconic style of the martial arts master.

Bruce Lee is one of the most famous figures of the 20th century, a martial arts specialist and actor credited with sparking the martial arts film craze in the West. After cultivating his skills in many forms of martial arts, Bruce Lee developed his own, Jeet Kune Do, whose philosophies can be applied to combat as well as life's difficult situations. 

This collaboration will add a unique collection of outfits and other in-game items to the game, all available for a limited time. Starting January 10, the Bruce Lee Kung Fu Soul set, Melee Expert set and Mr. Kung Fu set will offer players several of the martial arts master's iconic looks. Numerous cosmetic skins for vehicles and parachutes, among others, are also available, as are Bruce Lee-themed emotes.  Finally, players can participate in the Dreamrealm Apprentice event from January 10-26 to gain access to exclusive rewards by following Bruce Lee through a series of challenging events. 

PUBG MOBILE is inspired by PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, the phenomenon that swept the interactive entertainment world in 2017. Up to 100 players are dropped on a deserted island to face off in a battle where there will be only one survivor. Players must find and appropriate weapons, vehicles, and equipment, and defeat all players in a visually rich and tactically challenging battlefield that packs players into an increasingly small area. 

Bruce Lee, born as Lee Jun-fan on November 27, 1940, is a Chinese-American actor, director, martial artist, martial arts instructor and philosopher. Lee is a pioneer of martial arts action films and the founder of Jeet Kune Do, a hybrid martial arts philosophy that draws from various fighting disciplines. Although Lee's death was nearly 50 years ago, his influence in the world is stronger than ever. Lee is considered one of the most influential martial arts commentators, critics, advocates and artists of all time and is a 20th century pop culture icon who bridged the gap between East and West.
