LA-Event - L.A Portraits : LA-based french journalist Sophie Janinet releases a new and immersive podcast

Driven by her love for people's stories and willing to shed a light on what the city of Los Angeles truly is, beyond the stereotypes, Sophie Janinet decided to create her new thoughtfully crafted podcast, L.A. Portraits. The first episode will be released on all podcast apps this Sunday.

Sophie Janinet is a L.A.-based French journalist. She started her radiophonic adventure in Bucarest, Romania in 2009. Since then, she has lived in 5 different countries, developing her passion for journalism, radio, and people. In 2016, she created the show Women on Edge on Edge Radio in Tasmania, Australia. Fascinated by all the dreams and expectations surrounding Los Angeles, L.A. Portraits is her latest project : the only podcast to discover the reality of Los Angeles life through portraits of Angelenos.

In 2018, the Los Angeles metropolitan area had a gross metropolitan product of over $1.0 trillion, making it the city with the third-largest GDP in the world, after New York City and Tokyo. Los Angeles hosted the 1932 and 1984 Summer Olympics and will host the 2028 Summer Olympics.
