Disney+ - She-Hulk : Attorney at Law : We have discovered the first four episodes

The Marvel Studios series never cease to surprise us by their originality and the way they push back the limits of the Marvel comics adaptations in terms of special effects and by revisiting this time the sitcom in depth by its duration of half an hour per episode and its omnipresent humor. The mission is not easy in this case because She-Hulk must find its place in the shadow of Hulk and especially conquer a large audience as much female as male. The presence of directors Kat Coiro (6 episodes) and Anu Valia (3 episodes) reinforces the idea of putting forward the female gender in a universe dominated by male superheroes, with the exception of Captain Marvel in the cinema as the female lead and Ms Marvel on Disney+.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law introduces Bruce Banner's / Hulk's cousin, Jennifer Walters / She-Hulk, into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This fictional character is one of the most popular in American comics published by Marvel Comics. She was created by the writer Stan Lee and the artist John Buscema and appeared for the first time in The Savage She-Hulk #1 (1980). The series takes the features of this person and we discover a lawyer with a strong character who after a car accident happened with his cousin Bruce Banner accidentally receives blood from him.  Jennifer Walters becomes a version of her bigger, more powerful and especially greener of herself but unlike her famous cousin, she keeps her personality, her intelligence and manages to control her emotions. The first episode is dedicated to the discovery of Jennifer Walters' new powers and her training as She-Hulk by her cousin Bruce Banner / Hulk.

The great strength of the Marvel adaptations for Disney+, contrary to the series initially broadcast on Netflix like Daredevil (which we will find a cameo in this series) is to benefit from a sufficiently comfortable budget to offer us a work that has nothing to envy to the blockbusters released in theaters. We will appreciate not only the numerous action scenes, the omnipresent humor but also a judicious casting in which the actress Tatiana Maslany proves to be as convincing as a lawyer as a superheroine in spite of herself. The same care is felt at the level of the plot which directs the story by the fact of being a superheroine in a realistic universe and how to live with this power.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law mixes comedy and action and benefits from numerous cameos from the characters Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), Emil Bionsky (Tim Roth), Wong (Benedicte Wong) and Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox). These secondary characters who appear only for a few scenes tend to show that the series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is well incorporated into the Marvel cinematographic universe and that it would not be surprising to find this main female character in the cinema in future films such as the long-awaited Avengers films. By developing this universe and introducing new characters, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has established itself as a series with great potential and succeeds in giving a realistic version of this character but also in satisfying the expectations of the many fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The first four episodes really make you want to see the next ones and each one incorporates a scene in the film credits as it is the case in the Marvel movies. Some will say that the presence of many characters already known from the Marvel Cinematic Universe tends to prove that Marvel Studios thinks that the potential of She-Hulk is not enough to hold the attention of the public but it is not. On the contrary, they confirm the importance of Jennifer Walters and that we will now have to rely on her presence and her humor. The female audience will also find in this new character a strong symbol of the importance of women both in the world of work and in our daily lives. The girl power side of this series is a significant asset for it to find a wide audience.

This new series is not just another sitcom with these recorded laughs that can become tiresome but rather a successful mix between the universe of the cult series Ally McBeal and the universe of a Deadpool. The numerous winks to the Avengers, especially in the first episode, force us to join and show us that She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is definitely the must-see series of August. While House of the Dragon and Lord of the Rings will soon hit our screens, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will easily find its place in the hearts of viewers.
