The LEGO Group and PlayStation are joining forces to transport fans of both brands to the world of the video game Horizon Forbidden West. In collaboration with development studio Guerrilla, they have recreated iconic elements of the video game in the form of LEGO bricks.
A model to build and display, the 1,222-piece set invites builders to travel to the 31st century and let their imaginations run wild as they recreate the world of Horizon Forbidden West. For fans eager to see the details of this set, it is revealed here in video.
This adult LEGO product embarks builders alongside Aloy, a proud machine hunter, with the Tallneck, a gigantic, iconic machine she uses during her explorations to restore order and balance in Horizon Forbbiden West™. The set includes an all-new headdress for Aloy, her bow, a spear to assemble; a customizable Eyes Only with blue, yellow or red eyes; and the Tallneck with a saucer-shaped head and long, slender legs that give it its distinctive, striking silhouette. Enthusiasts can fine-tune their build with a tree, tall grass and a rusty traffic light, before displaying it.
"Being able to collaborate with Guerrilla has truly been an opportunity," says Isaac Snyder, LEGO Group designer. "Their team has an incredible passion for the Horizon Forbidden West™ universe and provided invaluable assistance in ensuring that we could accurately represent it in LEGO bricks. Through this close collaboration, we were able to include references to the most iconic aspects of the game: its incredible machines, mysterious ruins, unique tribes, and breathtaking landscapes. Both teams were excited to see this model come to life! We hope it will be as much fun to build as we had designing it."
The LEGO Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck model is over 34 cm tall, 23 cm wide and 17 cm deep. It will be available from May 2022 on LEGO.com, in LEGO stores and major retailers for £79.99.
