Project Gemini (Звёздный разум) is a Russian science fiction film directed by Vyacheslav Lisnevsky. The film narrates how a space mission sent to terraform a distant planet will turn into a nightmare. The mission meets something unknown that has its own plan for the planet. The cast includes Egor Koreshkov as Dr. Stephen Ross, with Alyona Konstantinova, Dmitry Frid, Nikita Dyuvbanov, Liza Martines Kardenas, Konstantin Samukov, Viktor Potapeshkin, Pyotr Romanov and Aleksandr Kuznetsov joining the cast.

The project was directed by Vyacheslav Lisnevsky. He wrote the script together with Dmitry Zhigalov on the original production idea. The company of producers Viktor Denisyuk and Yevgeny Melentiev, KD Studios, has completed the shooting of the science fiction film Project Gemini. The film was shot in Moscow in specially selected locations: a newly built business center, the Comcity office park, on the territory of Moscow-City, near the Aquamarine residential complex, on the Ozerkovskaya embankment, which are located on the territory of the Russian capital. All these places have a rather futuristic look and reflect the visual image of a city of the future in the film, which will be further enhanced by computer graphics. Scenes of another planet where, according to the story, a team of astronauts was sent, were shot in Charyn Canyon in Kazakhstan. As for the spaceship, the flight and landing frames of another planet, they will be entirely computer-modeled.

In the studio, large-scale sets representing a secret laboratory and the interior of a spaceship were built in the pavilion. The artists' meticulous work required unique costumes, including spacesuits for the astronauts, as well as futuristic gadgets, smart phones and weapons. The exterior of the spaceship and the flight and landing scenes on the other planet will be entirely computer generated. The film's visual effects are produced by KinoDanz's own computer graphics studio.

Project Gemini was released in Russia on January 6, 2022. The film will be released directly on video in France (Condor Entertainment) and the United States (Well Go USA)

Synopsis:
In the near future, Earth's days are numbered. With it, the human race is threatened with extinction. But hope is reborn when archaeologists discover a sphere of extraterrestrial origin capable of making any planet habitable. An elite group, led by Captain Steven Ross, is sent on a mission to find a new home for humanity. Sailing into the unknown aboard the flagship of the space fleet, these new explorers are far from suspecting that the sphere has not yet delivered all its secrets.
