By Mulder, 27 january 2022

Goliath is a French film co-written and directed by Frédéric Tellier and scheduled for release on March 9, 2022 in France. It tells an investigation on GMOs and pesticides. It is the third film by director Frederic Tellier after L'Affaire SK1 (2014) and Sauver ou périr (2018).

Frederic Tellier worked for nearly two years on the script and considered the theme of pesticides for the story. He met with various protagonists of this issue and crossed my information with specialized journalists to give birth to an ambitious scenario. The filming started on August 24, 2020 and lasted 9 weeks. It took place in the Côtes-d'Armor in Brittany, in Paris9, in Brussels, in Lille in Hauts-de-France for the scenes shot in the European Parliament

The cast includes Gilles Lellouche, Pierre Niney, Emmanuelle Bercot, Marie Gillain, Laurent Stocker and Jacques Perrin.  This is the second collaboration between actor Pierre Niney and director Frederic Tellier after Sauver ou périr (2018).

Synopsis:
France, a sports teacher by day, a worker by night and an activist; Patrick, an obscure and solitary Parisian lawyer specializing in environmental law; and Mathias, a lobbyist and a man in a hurry, will see their destinies turned upside down and intertwined by the terrible act of a desperate female farmer.
