One more week of patience before discovering the first episode of the brand new Star Wars original series The Book of Boba Fett. But to fill this long wait, Disney+ has planned everything and invites the many fans of the intergalactic saga to discover from today an exclusive report around the famous bounty hunter: Under the Helmet: The Legacy of Boba Fett . A great opportunity to go back to the origins of the famous character and to understand why he became a cult from his first appearance on screen.

Available exclusively on Disney+, the new series The Book of Boba Fett (revealed just after the credits roll on the final episode of Season 2 of The Mandalorian) follows the adventures of the legendary bounty hunter and mercenary Fennec Shand. After venturing into the underbelly of the galaxy, the two return to the dunes of Tatooine to claim the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate...

Temuera Morrison stars as Boba Fett, while Ming-Na Wen also plays the role of Fennec Shand. Both reprise their roles from The Mandalorian and other previous Star Wars media. Several attempts were made to develop a standalone Star Wars film centered on Boba Fett before Lucasfilm began prioritizing its streaming series like The Mandalorian. Morrison appeared as Fett alongside Wen in the second season of The Mandalorian, and a potential spin-off series was first reported in November 2020. The Boba Fett book was officially announced in December 2020, with Morrison and Wen in the lead roles. Filming began at that time and lasted until June 2021. The series will launch on December 29, 2021 and will run for seven episodes through February 9, 2022.

Co-produced by John Bartnicki (The Lion King) and John Hampian, the series The Book of Boba Fett stars Temuera Morrison (Star Wars: Attack of the Clones) and Ming-Na Wen (the Marvel: Agents of SHIELD series). Jon Favreau (Iron Man 2), Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian series), Robert Rodriguez (100 Years), Kathleen Kennedy (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Colin Wilson (Avatar), Karen Gilchrist (The Jungle Book) and Carrie Beck (Star Wars Rebels series) are executive producers.
