Convention - Japan Expo 2022 : ticketing is open for Marseille and Paris

By GraeLeigh, 10 december 2021

After two years of absence, the first European festival of Japanese leisure and culture returns in 2022 under the sign of the phoenix. And the tickets are on sale for its two editions, just in time to put them under the Christmas tree.

If the month of July is traditionally the edition that gathers the most fans (Parc des Expositions Villepinte - July 14 to 17), we must not forget the Southern edition that takes place a few months before (Marseille Chanot - February 18 to 20).

And a first guest has been announced: the actress and artistic director Brigitte Lecordier. If her career is not limited to that, she is well known to animation fans for having lent her voice to the character Son Goku as a child, Son Gohan as a child, Son Goten, Trunks, C-18 or Zen'ô in the series and films of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Z Kai, Dragon Ball Super, but also to Oui-Oui, Nicolas in Bonne nuit les petits, Bouli or Bouba.

To buy your tickets, go to the official ticket websites: Japan Expo Sud and Japan Expo.

« After too long months, Japan Expo is finally back in 2022. The Covid crisis has put us in a very unprecedented and painful situation, but thanks to the aid schemes, the PGE, our savings and the postponement of tickets by a good number of fans, we have been able to weather the storm! We have suffered but we are thrilled to finally be able to fully get back to organizing our events.

Determined to move forward with even more energy, we have placed this return under the sign of the Phoenix, a sign of rebirth! Pop culture has never been so dynamic! It has proven to be the best companion for imagination and escape in times of confinement. And now, even more of us want to get together to share that. Partners and exhibitors are eager. Fans are pressing us with questions and showing us how eager they are to get together. After these difficult months, all this energy transports us. We're ready to take on any challenge to create a new festival, adapted to all the new challenges we're facing. We will expand the horizons of what we already offer. But as a famous barbarian said, this is another story ...

We are now preparing to welcome visitors. This will allow us to be ready, as we know how to do it, to respect all the sanitary obligations on the one hand, and on the other hand to welcome serenely and safely the eager and enthusiastic crowd which will come to us. A quality and organized welcome is a priority for us because it is an integral part of a good visitor experience.

We reserve tens of thousands of square meters for this, as well as, for example, nearly 9 km of barriers to form all the queues. A team of more than 150 people is waiting with a smile for all the visitors who come to have fun on the festival to make them enter as soon as possible.

At Japan Expo Paris, 93% of the 250,000 visitors who came in 2019 left satisfied with the atmosphere of the festival! So you can leave with stars in your eyes and memories in your head »
