Serie - Walker : a prequel series in the works

Reboot of the cult series from the 90's, in which Jared Padalecki takes over the role once played by Chuck Norris, Walker announces its first spin-off series, which will take viewers back in time.

It seems that Walker, a reboot of Walker - Texas Ranger starring Chuck Norris in the title role, has found its audience. Currently airing its second season, it is presented as the most watched series of the channel. Successful enough that a spin-off series is currently being prepared by The CW, entitled Walker: Independence.

Walker: Independence will be set in the late 1800s and will follow Abby Walker, a wealthy Boston resident who witnesses her husband's murder and sets out West to seek revenge. On her journey, she will join up with Hoyt Rawlins, a lovable scoundrel, and journey to Independence, Texas. In Independence, they will find a community with the eclectic group of misfits that populate the town. 

The link between the prequel and the current serie has not yet been revealed.

Synopsis
Cordell Walker is back in Austin after an eleven month infiltration. A widower with two children, the young Texas Ranger is trying, with a new partner, to reconnect with his family and understand his wife's death.
