It is on January 7, 2022 that will be released on screens the film of the Oscar-winning director John Madden who finds Colin Firth. Adaptation of the eponymous novel by Ben MacIntyre (released in 2016 under the title Operation Mincemeat), Operation Mincemeat is the true story of the stratagem that fooled the Nazis and reversed the course of the Second World War.

It is an opportunity for Colin Firth and John Madden to work together again, more than twenty years after their collaboration on Shakespeare in Love (1998), the seven Oscar-winning film.

The cast is completed by Kelly Macdonald (Line of Duty, Boardwalk Empire, No Country for Old Men), Matthew Macfadyen (Estate, Pride and Prejudice), Penelope Wilton (Downton Abbey, Indian Palace), Johnny Flynn (Jersey Affair, Emma) Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter, Peter Pan), Hattie Morahan (Official Secrets, Mr. Holmes), Simon Russell Beale (Mary Stuart Queen of Scots, The Death of Stalin), Paul Ritter (Chernobyl, The Capture), James Fleet (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Sense and Sensibility) and Mark Gatiss (Sherlock, The Favourite).

Synopsis
1943. To turn the tide of the war, the Allies must land troops in Sicily... Where the Nazis are waiting for them. To avoid this predicted massacre, two British intelligence officers, Ewen Montagu (Colin Firth) and Charles Cholmondeley (Matthew Macfadyen), devise an incredible scheme to deceive Hitler about the landing site. At the center of their strategy, a corpse under legend...
