"The actor is a musician and a dancer, he uses both his body and his musicality in the lines." - Garance Marillier
After starting her acting career in 2010 in the short films Junior by Julia Ducournau and Ce n'est pas un film de cowboys by Benjamin Parent, Garance Marillier reunited with her accomplice Julia Ducournau for the TV movie Mange (2012), and then for Grave (2017), the director's first feature film, which earned her a nomination for the César for Best Female Hope.
Garance Marillier continued her rise the following year with Ad Vitam, an anticipation series broadcast on Arte and awarded at the Festival Séries Mania, before returning to the big screen in 2019 with the drama Pompeii, directed by John Shank and Anne Falguères. In 2020, she joins the cast of the biopic Madame Claude. Her latest collaboration to date with Julia Ducournau for Titanium takes her to the official competition at the Cannes Film Festival this year, where the feature film won the Palme d'Or. Garance Marillier has just finished shooting Rue des dames, the second feature film by Hamé and Ekoué, members of the group La Rume
