Amazon Prime Video today announced the lead actors for the new Amazon Original French drama series Totems. The eight-episode, 52-minute Amazon Original series stars Niels Schneider, Vera Kolesnikova, José Garcia, Lambert Wilson and Ana Girardot, among others. The series was created and written by Olivier Dujols and Juliette Soubrier, with François Uzan, Thibault Valetoux, Julien Anscutter and Sabine Dabadie. It is directed by Jérôme Salle, Antoine Blossier and Frédéric Jardin. Totems is currently filming and will air exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories in 2021. Set in 1965, at the height of the Cold War, Totems follows Francis Mareuil (Niels Schneider), a French scientist, who is about to become a spy. While working for the French secret service and the CIA, he meets Lyudmila Goloubeva (Vera Kolesnikova), a pianist forced to collaborate with the KGB. This is the beginning of a love story... But how to know if the feelings that seem to animate them are sincere or guided by political interests?
