Disney+ - Peter Pan & Wendy, shooting starts for the new Disney+ Original movie

Peter Pan & Wendy has just begun shooting in Vancouver, Canada. Directed by David Lowery (Peter and Elliott the Dragon) and produced by Jim Whitaker(Timmy Failure), it will air on Disney+ in 2022.

Adapted from the novel of the same name by J. M. Barrie and inspired by Walt Disney's 1953 classic, Peter Pan & Wendy tells the story of a young girl who opposes her parents' decision to send her to boarding school and flies with her two younger brothers to Neverland. There she meets a boy who refuses to grow up, a tiny fairy and an evil pirate, and has adventures as exciting as they are dangerous, far from her family and home.

Jude Law (Fantastic Animals), Yara Shahidi (Grown-Ish series), Ever Anderson (Black Widow), Alexander Molony (The Reluctant Landlord series) and Jim Gaffigan (The Jim Gaffigan Show) star as Captain Hook, Tinker Bell, Wendy, Peter Pan and Mr. Smee, respectively. They are joined by Alan Tudyk (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Molly Parker (House of Cards) as Mr. and Mrs. Darling, and young Joshua Pickering (John), JacobiJupe (Michael) and Alyssa Wapanatâhk (Lili the Tigress).

"Peter Pan has long been one of my favorite stories, partly because I never wanted to grow up, but also because the empathy, sense of adventure and inventiveness of J.M. Barrie's novel make it timeless," ,explains DavidLowery. "I'm thrilled to have the chance to bring his famous characters back to life for a new generation, and even more thrilled to have been able to do so with such an exceptional cast and crew."

Synopsis:
Adaptation of J.M. Barrie's classic tale of a boy who doesn't want to grow up and recruits three young siblings in London to join him on a magical adventure to the enchanted island of Neverland.
