Weapon X is a fictitious clandestine government project of genetic research appearing in the comics published by Marvel Comics. It is led by the Canadian government's Department K, which transforms voluntary and non-voluntary beings into living weapons. The project often captures mutants and experiments on them to enhance their abilities or superpowers, turning them into weapons. They also mutate basic humans.
The Weapon X project has produced Wolverine, Leech, Deadpool, Sabretooth and Weapon X. The X experiment, or the brutal adamantium-skeleton binding process, written by Barry Windsor-Smith in his classic story Weapon X (published in Marvel Comics Presents #72-84 in 1991), was finally revealed as part of the Weapon X Project. In 2002, Grant Morrison's New X-Men revealed that the Weapon X Project was the tenth in a series of such projects, collectively known as the Weapon Plus Program, and that the X in Weapon X did not refer to the letter X, but to the Roman numeral for the number 10.
This Marvel Legends Marvel collective figure totally caught our attention. It is articulated and measures approximately 6 inch high. It comes with 1 accessory and a piece to build a new character (Caliban) for collectors taking the complete line of which this figurine is part. Once again Hasbro delivers us a quality figurine respecting the cult person of Marvel Comics. We will think in particular of Marvel Comics Presents #79 (1991) and Wolverine - Weapon X #01 (2009).
