Luca, the new original animated film from Pixar Studios is directed by Enrico Casarosa (nominated for an Oscar for best animated short film for La Luna), and produced by Andrea Warren (Lava, Cars 3). The film will be released this summer 2021. This new animated feature film from Pixar studios, is a refreshing, tender and solar story in which two young sea monsters will live a summer that will change their lives forever. LUCA is about friendship, but also about daring to take risks and coming of age.

Luca has a remarkable cast for the original voices: Jacob Tremblay (Room, Wonder) lends his voice to Luca Paguro, a brilliant 13-year-old sea monster, inventive and gifted with great curiosity, especially when it comes to the mysterious world above the sea. Jack Dylan Grazer (We Are Who We Are, Shazam) is the voice of Alberto Scorfano, an independent and free teenage sea monster who is enthusiastic about the human world. Emma Berman gives the floor to Giulia, a charming and extroverted adventurer who befriends Luca and Alberto. Maya Rudolph (My Best Friends, Saturday Night Live, Big Mouth) lends her voice to Luca's mother Daniela. Marco Barricelli is the voice of Massimo, Giulia's father. Jim Gaffigan (The Pale Tourist, Troop Zero) plays Lorenzo, Luca's father.

Synopsis :
In a very pretty little coastal town on the Italian Riviera, a young boy, Luca, lives an unforgettable summer, punctuated by delicious gelato, tasty pasta and long scooter rides. He shares his adventures with his new best friend, but this happiness is threatened by a well-kept secret: both are in fact sea monsters from another world, located just below the surface of the water ...
