Disney+ - Successful launch for Star today in France

Star is a new addition to the range of films, series, documentaries and exclusive new releases from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic. The platform also includes a new, easy-to-use parental control to ensure peace of mind for parents.

Disney+, the reference streaming platform for Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic content, is enriching its offering with the arrival of the vast catalog of its new Star world, available today, which includes more than 40 series, nearly 240 films and four new "Star Originals" productions. In addition to the titles presented from the outset, exclusive new releases will be offered each month by Disney subsidiaries, including Disney Television Studios (20th Television and ABC Signature), FX Productions, 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures.

In the coming weeks, subscribers will be able to discover the feminist comedy Dollface, starring Kat Dennings and Shay Mitchell, created and produced by Jordan Weiss and MargotRobbie; Atlanta by Donald Glover ; KristaVernoff's Rebel, inspired by the life of Erin Brockovich, starring Katey Sagal and John Corbett; the mini-series Love at the time of Coron, filmed during First Confinement, starring Ava Bellows and Leslie Odom Jr.; and Genius: Aretha, National Geographic's miniseries on the life of the Queen of Soul, starring Cynthia Erivo (this summer). Not to mention Danny Boyle's The Beach; Guillermo Del Toro's The Shape of Water (Best Picture Oscar), David Prior's The Empty Man, Ridley Scott's Prometheus, Wes Anderson's Dog Island and John N.'s Rebellious Spirits. These titles come in addition to the new series already announced, which are the thriller Big Sky by David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies, The Undoing); the societal chronicle Love, Victor (derived from Love, Simon), written by the film's writers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger (This Is Us); the adult animated sitcom Solar Opposites, created by Justin Roiland and MikeMcMahan (Rick and Morty); and the dramatic series Helstrom, produced by Paul Zbyszewski, Karim Zreik and Jeph Loeb, all available today.

Disney+ also confirms its commitment to acquiring, developing and producing original local content in certain countries. An ambitious program of original European productions was recently announced.
