Festivals - Gerardmer 2021: The stylist will be screened in official competition

The Stylist is a film directed by Jill Gevargizian that she co-wrote with Eric Havens. The cast includes Brea Grant, Najarra Townsend, Sarah McGuire, Laura Kirk, Timothy English, Millie Milan, Jennifer Seward, Davis DeRock.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Jill Gevargizian has been making short films with her father's camcorder since she was a child. Call Girl, her first short film, will be presented in 2014 in several festivals around the world. She works as assistant director on the segment of the film ABCs of Death 2 by Jen & Sylvia Soska (2014) and Frankenstein Created Bikers by James Bickert (2016). She also worked as a hairdresser for more than fifteen years as the protagonist of her third film, The Stylist.

Synopsis :
Everyone dreams of becoming someone else... but for Claire this dream becomes an obsession, then a real nightmare. Her work as a hairdresser allows her to escape by listening to her clients' stories until the moment she decides to stop the discussion... and get it over with for good. Claire's solitary life, with its well-ordered routine and unvarnished secrets, is turned upside down the day one of her faithful clients asks her to do her hair for her wedding...
