If the announcement of the release of the 39th Asterix album already unleashes the passions of 2021 has not failed to surprise you.
After 5 years of development supervised by Albert Uderzo and a production worthy of a peplum, the launch of the Idéfix & les Irréductibles by the successful director Charles Vaucelle is a real event. By entirely reconstructing the city of Lutetia in 3D and creating more than a hundred characters for the occasion (compared to about thirty for a classic 3D series), the quality of the animated series has nothing to be ashamed of when compared to Asterix feature films. As in the albums, the episodes present several levels of reading, in a choral series where the stories mix the motivations of human characters with those of animals thanks to the work of talented screenwriters led by the director Matthieu Choquet (Miraculous, LastMan...). A mix of adventure and humor that makes the success of comics, puns, fights, all sprinkled with a touch of magic.
With Stéphane Bern as narrator, and a voice cast directed by Luq Hamett (Roger Rabbit, Marty McFly in Back to the Future...) and launched by Roger Carel, the historic voice of Asterix (and Idéfi x!), the series will gradually feature episodes from characters from the Asterix universe such as Goudurix, Amérix, Anglaigus, Abraracourcix and Bonemine... and many others! A new universe, a DNA respected to the letter, the Asterix magic potion is a no-holds-barred challenge, on the small as well as the big screen!
A first season of 52 episodes x 12 minutes, for children from 5 to 11 years old in Okoo on the screens of France Télévisions in September 2021.
