Amazon today unveiled the official trailer for the first season of The Wilds. The 10-episode Amazon Original series will be available exclusively on Prime Video on Friday, December 11th in more than 240 countries and territories around the world. The first episode of the series will be available to all in streaming for a limited time on Amazon (without the need for a Prime account) as well as on Prime Video's social networks (YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook) as of December 11th.
Halfway between a survivalist drama and a dystopian slumber party, The Wilds follows a group of teenage girls from different backgrounds as they struggle to survive on a desert island following an air crash. The shipwrecked girls will confront each other and get closer, get to know each other, discover the secrets they are all hiding as well as the traumas they have suffered. To end up discovering that they did not arrive on this island by chance.
The cast of the series includes star Rachel Griffiths as well as a mix of established and new talent including Sophia Ali, Shannon Berry, Jenna Clause, Reign Edwards, Mia Healey, Helena Howard, Erana James, Sarah Pidgeon, David Sullivan and Troy Winbush. The Wilds is co-produced by Amazon Studios and ABC Signature, a subsidiary of Disney Television Studios. Sarah Streicher (Daredevil) created the series, she is also executive producer alongside Amy B. Harris (Sex and the City and The Carrie Diaries), Jamie Tarses (Happy Endings), and Dylan Clark (The Batman and Bird Box).
