If you have read the comics, you can get an idea of what could happen this season of Amazon’s The Boys, because Dark Black and Stormfront are two key characters who are at the center, exactly at the center, of everything that happens in the comic series: Butcher's past, the lust for power of Stilwell's replacement, the Patriot remedy.
From the main approach, the series based on Garth Ennis comics breaks with the main idea of the genre. Superheroes are not always the good guys; they have such human weaknesses as greed and the desire for power. But who can stand up to these prodigious beings that seem invincible? We will soon see that there are some "madmen" who turn away from praise to conspire and overthrow his brutal regime.
The members of The Boys continue to avoid the law, persecuted by the so-called Supers. They do not give up their objective, which is to regroup and defeat Vought. For his part, Homelander seeks to take full power, but his leadership is overshadowed by the arrival of Stormfront, who is an expert in managing social networks. Although an alliance between the two is anticipated, it seems that the most lethal of the Supers and the new member will not have a sincere and lasting friendship.
I don't know about you, but it's been over six months since The Boys series premiered and we do not stop thinking about this idea: Is Patriot the true villain of the series? Yes, that Patriot, the most powerful superhero, the jewel in the crown, is corrupt to the core. Yes, he is the one behind the entire Compound V shed. Yes, we are not saying no. That he is an unscrupulous guy. Yes, he coldly kills Madelyn Stillwell (and you've also wondered why Patriot kills Madelyn, and we know it because predictor told us: What, did you think that only Vought had the resources to control you? You must see how wrong you are), but he had betrayed him, he had deceived him: and you know what happens to people who deceive a sociopath. That same. But who is the big villain the Seven harbor? We have seen Queen Maeve, who regrets in the type of hero (who allows Patriot to leave a plane headed for disaster just because he is lazy to save them) and in the type of person (unable to fight to get back the woman he loves; that not to mention its public cover) that it has become. Ok, nothing suspicious.
The main characters oversee Jack Quaid, as Hugh Campbell; Laz Alonso, as Mother's Milk; Karl Urban, as Billy Butcher; Tomer Kapon, as Frenchie, and Karen Fukuhara, as Kimiko. Meanwhile, The Seven are brought to the screen by Erin Moriarty, as Starlight ; Antony Starr, as Homelander ; Jessie T. Usher, as A-Train ; Dominique McElligott, as Queen Maeve; Nathan Mitchell, as Black Noir ; Chace Crawford, as The Deep Alex Hassell, as Translucent ; and Elisabeth Shue, as Madelyn Stillwell, the vice president of Vought.
Synopsis :
The Boys is set in a universe where superpowered individuals are recognized as heroes by the general public and owned by powerful corporation Vought International, which markets and monetizes them. Outside of their heroic personas, most are arrogant and corrupt. The series primarily focuses on two groups: the Seven, Vought International's premier superhero team, and the titular Boys, vigilantes looking to keep the corrupted heroes under control. The Boys are led by Billy Butcher, who despises all superpowered people, and the Seven are led by the egotistical and unstable Homelander. As a conflict ensues between the two groups, the series also follows the new members of each team: Hughie Campbell of the Boys, who joins the vigilantes after his girlfriend is killed by one of the Seven; and Annie January / Starlight of the Seven, a young and hopeful heroine forced to face the truth about the heroes she admires.
