Festivals - Fantasia 2020: Alone discover the trailer

Many of us were waiting for the director of Universal soldier: day of reckoning (2012) to give us with Alone a new dose of action and suspense on the big screen. Alone is a thriller that will keep us on the edge of our seats thanks to the performances of Jules Wilcox and Marc Menchaca and the work of cinematographer Federico Verardi, Kohn Hyams (who is also co-editor) creates a solid and realistic suspense that will have its international premiere at the Fantasia 2020 Festival. This is Hyams' sixth film after One Dog Day (1997), Universal Soldier: Regeneration (2009), Dragon Eyes (2012), Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning (2012) and All Square (2018).

Synopsis:
Jessica (Jules Wilcox) drives on a long stretch of road in the Pacific Northwest. Trying to recover from a tragic loss, she has packed her bags and returns to her hometown to get her life back on track. Along the way is also a man (Marc Menchaca) who at first seems harmless enough, but who seems to keep showing up in the same places as Jessica. But this is no coincidence. The man has dark designs and, once in her clutches, she has to fight for shelter somewhere in the Oregon wilderness, far from civilization, far from help and far from the devious psychotic who wants to harm her. She will have to face this crisis in the cold and rain while she is injured. She will have to try to get out of this mess knowing that she will endanger anyone who helps her. She will have to go through this ordeal without knowing why that man chose her. She will have to find the courage within herself when her life is literally in pieces. She will have to face all her fears at once. And she will have to face it all alone.
