Ceremony - The Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA): The Nominees

The Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) announced today the nominees for music in film, TV, video games, commercials and trailers; this year marks the 10th anniversary of the awards. The 2019 Hollywood Music in Media Awards will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at The Avalon Hollywood 1735 Vine Street. HMMAs has become the bellwether of the nominees and winners of other key awards that occur months later including Grammy, Oscar and Golden Globe music winners; for last several years HMMA winners included Ludwig Goransson for BLACK PANTHER, Alexandre Desplat for SHAPE OF WATER, songs from LA LA LAND, A STAR IS BORN and more. With over 500 submissions from around the world, HMMA nominees are chosen in specific genres of music for film, TV and video game including dramatic feature, sci-fi/ fantasy, documentary and animation. Nominees this year include music for JOKER, PAIN & GLORY, LITTLE WOMEN, US, MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN, ALADDIN, LION KING, ROCKETMAN and more.

For the 10th Anniversary Concert & Gala, the organization will host past winners and performers as well as presenters from virtually all the music guilds representing composers and songwriters including The Society of Composers & Lyricists, The Alliance of Female Composers, the Guild of Music Supervisors and more.
