High Tech - E32017 : We have tested LucidSound LS35X

By Mulder, Los Angeles, 14 june 2017

We had a amazing opportunity to meet up with LucidSound this week during E3 at the Coliseum in Los Angeles California and in their media suite at the JW Marriott in Downtown LA. We were able to take for a test drive several of their products and some new prototypes off the design board along with a special limited-edition Camo LS30 Wireless Universal Console Gaming Headset available exclusively at the Pro vs GI Joe booth for $180 with a percentage of the proceeds of each sale going towards the Joint Forces Initiative Charity (jointforcesinitiative.org) which supports US Armed Forces.

“LucidSound is pleased to support the Joint Forces Initiative with this limited-edition headset,” said Chris Von Huben, CEO of LucidSound. “Our exclusive LS30 headset comes complete with a unique camouflage design, only available at the show and in limited quantities, sure to become a highly coveted collector’s item!”

LucidSound will also be supporting Bethesda who will be utilizing custom Quake branded LS25 eSports Gaming Headsets. Ideal for the eSports and competitive gaming community, the Quake branded PC headsets were also featured at the ESL Quake tournament taking place at the ESL booth on Wednesday, with LucidSound headsets featured as tournament prizes!

LucidSound unveiled their new range of licensed Xbox gaming headsets behind closed doors via appointment only at E3. We were able to receive an invite and a short presentation on the LS15X and the exclusive new features that headsets will have incorporated into them of which the more incredible one will be Xbox One wireless direct compatibility which is frankly awesome!

LucidSound is committed to designing premium quality audio products for gamers. Every team member of LucidSound hails from a gaming audio background with a vision to deliver world-class audio to the interactive entertainment sector. Uncompromising in its insistence for audio excellence, the company crafts audio products specifically for the needs of gamers and everyday life. Strikingly different in appearance from traditional gaming hardware, the LucidSound family of products unlocks the emotion and intensity of modern gaming audio, elevating the experience for gamers everywhere which we were able to playtest in person both in their media suite and on the gaming floor at several locations during E3.

My favorite product is the LS15X Wireless Surround Sound in-ear Contour Gaming Headset because it overcomes the need to cover the ears which allows people with glasses less of a headache or anyone who just dislikes wearing a headset all day.

I was able to listen to the sound quality of each of their products that range in prices from 99.99 to 199.99 available online at Gamestop, Amazon, iCuracao, and Newegg. I have tried several head over the years and a dozen new ones at E3 from companies that range from Turtle Bay and Logitech and LucidSounds and the LS40 is the superior product both in comfortability and ease of use by placing the volume controls on the side of each ear phone, because i know each of us have had to mess with the volume control at a critical junction of a game and died because you are fiddling with the dials and not paying attention to the game.

I give each product a 5 out 5 and hope to show you more up close personal testing of the product in the future as they begin sales of new headsets and especially when they begin product on the LS15X. You can visit lucidsound.com and follow LucidSound on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.—
