For the second straight year Mulderville attended WonderCon. Just like in 2016, we attended a few roundtable interview panels, as well as were present for some premieres of new footage from some movies debuting this year.
The first roundtable we participated in was one for both ‘The Goldbergs’ and ‘Imaginary Mary’, where we had a chance to speak to Adam Goldberg (creator - The Goldbergs, Executive Producer - Imaginary Mary), Kevin Smith (Director of 2 episodes of The Goldbergs including this weeks 'The Dynamic Duo' episode), Jeff Garlin (Murray Goldberg), Wendi McLendon-Covey (Beverly Goldberg). We also spoke to the stars and creators of Imaginary Mary, which included Jenna Elfman (Alice), Stephen Schneider (Ben), and the Executive Producers/creators Doug Robinson, David Guarascio, and Patrick Osborne.
We recorded the roundtable videos, and you can see them here:
Our next roundtable was for a new show debuting later this year on NBC titled ‘Midnight, Texas’. The series is based on a series of books from Charlaine Harris (who also created the books which ‘True Blood’ was based on). For this set of roundtables we talked to the stars as well as the Executive Producer/Creator of the show. François Arnaud (Manfred Bernardo), Dylan Bruce( Bobo Winthrop), Parisa Fitz-Henley (Fiji Cavanaugh), Arielle Kebbel (Olivia), Jason Lewis (Joe Strong), Sarah Ramos (Creek), and executive producers Monica Owusu-Breen were all in attendance and you can see the roundtable interviews here:
Our last roundtable of WonderCon was for Lucifer, which will be back soon with the last 5 episodes of season 2. In attendance for this roundtable were Lesley-Ann Brandt (Mazikeen), Kevin Alejandro (Detective Daniel Espinoza), Rachael Harris (Dr. Linda Martin), and Executive Producers Ildy Modrovich (who complimented me on my shirt) and Joe Henderson. During the roundtables, we asked Joe and Ildy if there would be more characters from the comics, and Joe replied that there will be an easter egg soon for a character from the comics. Ildy also mentioned another easter egg coming, but wouldn’t go into details on it. You can see all the interviews here:
We also attended the WB Studios panel which featured the world premiere of the trailer for Annabelle: Origins, and a panel for Wonder Woman (which sadly no stars were in attendance for), which featured 2 new clips from the movie.
In between attending various panels, roundtable interviews, and getting food/drinks to keep us going, we took a lot of pictures throughout the convention center including the booths and cosplayers. You can see our albums here:
