Convention - San Diego Comic-Con 2016 : Some new announcements

By Mulder, San Diego, 28 april 2016

This is the latest in my SDCC news recaps, my previous news recap can be found here.

Now that we are under 90 days until San Diego Comic-Con the news will be coming fast and furious. So lets go over some of the stuff that's been announced both at SDCC and offsite since my last recap.

The busiest man during SDCC is back, and once again with 3 shows. Yes, Chris Hardwick is bringing his Nerdist podcast back to the Balboa Theater for 2 shows (Saturday night of SDCC at 7 and 10pm) and his ID10T tour has a stop there as well (Friday of SDCC at 7pm). Last year I attended both of the Nerdist podcast shows during SDCC, the first one had Sir Ben Kingsley and Peter Cappaldi (and was a bit dry in my opinion). The second Nerdist show I found to be funnier as the guests (Maisie Williams, Guillermo Del Toro and Tom Hiddleston) seemed to be having a good time. Tickets for all 3 shows can be found on the Balboa Theater website:ID10T7pm Nerdist10pm Nerdist). In the last recap I mentioned the w00tstock event, well tickets are now available (and have been for a few weeks) at the following link: here. One of the offsite mainstays, NerdHQ, hinted recently on Twitter that they would be back at SDCC

Comic-Con announced some more special guests recently, among them are Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Writer/producer, Afterlife with Archie, Riverdale), Ed McGuinness (Artist, Spider-Man/Deadpool), Ronald Wimberly (Designer/cartoonist, Prince of Cats, Sentences), Tsutomu Nihei (Writer/artist, Knights of Sidonia, Blame!), Christopher James Priest (Writer, Black Panther, Batman, Deathstroke),G. The latest additions bring the total number of special guests up to 53. The current list of confirmed guests includes Jason Aaron,Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Sergio Aragonés, Derf Backderf, Mike Baron, Mike Barrier, Kate Beaton, Cece Bell, Allen Bellman, Berkeley Breathed, Chester Brown, Emily Carroll,Jonathan Case, Howard Chaykin, Daniel Clowes, Peter David, Ben Dunn, Mark Evanier, Matt Fraction, Ramona Fradon, Kieron Gillen, Hank Green, Paul Gulacy, Lisa Hanawalt, Deborah Harkness, Ben Hatke, Jennifer Hayden, Keith Knight, Hidenori Kusaka, Jim Lee, Paul Levitz, Ed Luce, Sarah J.
