So with just over 3 months to go before San Diego Comic-Con International, the news has started to come out about what to expect from some vendors/exhibitors as well as the special guests that Comic-Con has announced and offsite events that have been announced. Lets talk about some of those.

Hasbro is always a popular booth in terms of exclusives, and this year will be no exception. Their first exclusive is SDCC Titan Force set: Windblade, Brainstorm, Sentinel Prime (energised resurrection deco) was announced (and shown) at BotCon 2016.

Some of the offsite events that are/have been announced are:

Hop-Con 4.0 at STONE BREWING WORLD BISTRO & GARDENS - LIBERTY STATION on JULY 20TH, 2016, tickets for it go on sale on May 4th. During a recent AMA on reddit, Aisha Tyler announced she was going to be there. More information on the event is here

Also announced (on Paul and Storm's Twitter feed), was w00tstock 8.0 which will once again take place on the Thursday of SDCC at The Balboa Theater. If you're not familiar with w00tstock, here's a brief summary from Paul and Storm's website: Television host/special-effects artist Adam Savage (“MythBusters”), actor/author/blogger Wil Wheaton (“Star Trek: The Next Generation”, “Stand By Me”) and music-comedy duo Paul and Storm (hey; that’s us!) present a night of songs, readings, comedy, demonstrations, short films, special guests, and other clever widgets born from and dedicated to the enthusiasms, obsessions, trials and joys of geek pride. Tickets have not gone on sale yet, but will be on sale soonper the above mention Twitter feed.

Now lets talk about some of the wonderful special guests that SDCC has announced. This year they are once again showing they are the premier comic convention and it's no surprise they lined up some terrific guests. Among them are some well known comic creators including: Sergio Aragonés (Cartoonist, MAD, Groo), Mike Baron (Writer/co-creator, Nexus, Badger), Berkeley Breathed (Writer/artist, Bloom County, Outland, Opus), Howard Chaykin (Writer/artist, American Flagg!, Star Wars), Daniel Clowes (Writer/artist, Eightball, Ghost World, Patience), Peter David (Writer, Star Trek novels, Sir Apropos of Nothing, Incredible Hulk), the 2014 Eisner Award winner for Best New Series for his Sex Criminals comic, Matt Fraction. Jim Lee (who needs no introduction), as well as Paul Levitz, Jamie McKelvie, Jeff Smith, J. Michael Straczynski and Babs Tarr have all been announced among others. From the non-comic book side of Comic-Con the talent announced is just as impressive with Bjo and John Trimble, Maggie Thompson, Mark Evanier, Patrick Rothfuss, Marissa Meyer, and Hank Green among others.

That's a wrap up of some of the SDCC news that is out there, but with just over 3 months to go, you can imagine the news, on/offsite events, and special guests will continue to get better and better!
