Paris Manga by TGS 2026 : Disney Concert in Villepinte

Paris Manga by TGS 2026 : Disney Concert Celebrates France’s Familiar Voices

Sunday 4 October, 2:45 PM PT Villepinte , Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre, Hall 7 2026-10-03 → 2026-10-04

Disney music brought a distinctive French connection to the 40th Paris Manga & Sci-Fi Show by TGS, held on 3–4 October 2026 at Paris Nord Villepinte. Sunday’s Disney concert reunited Anne Meson, Mimi Félixine, billed as Mimifé, and Emmanuel Curtil, with Nathalie Homs also named in the published programme. Their shared subject was familiar animation, but their careers represented different ways of bringing that world to French audiences: television, records, character acting and song.  Anne Meson appeared in the Sunday Disney concert alongside Mimi Félixine and Emmanuel Curtil. It followed a separate Saturday appearance by Anne Meson, whose repertoire included Oliver, Que fera la Belle ? and 1, 2, 3 soleil, as well as material associated with The Aristocats and The Little Mermaid.

Anne Meson, from Disney Parade to the Olympia

For viewers raised on French television in the early 1990s, Anne Meson connects Disney films with the programmes and records that surrounded them. Disney’s French ambassador from 1989 to 1994, she co-presented Disney Parade on TF1 with Jean-Pierre Foucault. Her recording career included “Oliver” and “La petite sirène”, alongside the French theme for Chip ’n Dale: Rescue Rangers. Her place in this concert therefore extended beyond film dubbing: she embodied the everyday television presence of Disney for a generation An illuminating chapter in that history is her 1992 Olympia engagement. The production introduced audiences to the forthcoming French theme park, which opened that April, and incorporated the Euro Disney troupe’s C’est magique. The connection between songs, stage entertainment and the park was already central to her work more than three decades before the Villepinte concert.

Mimi Félixine and the unexpected Hercules audition

Mimi Félixine brings a different kind of recognition. In the French version of Hercules, she voices both Megara and Calliope, the leading Muse. Disney’s own character profile confirms that her contribution to Megara covers dialogue and singing. The double role connects Megara’s guarded confidence with Calliope’s exuberant storytelling, showing how one performer can shape contrasting parts of an animated musical.  Already involved as Calliope’s singing voice, Mimi Félixine asked to audition for the character’s dialogue. When the relevant scene was unavailable, Perrette Pradier auditioned her using Megara’s material instead. The result was a second character rather than simply an expanded assignment on the first, an unusually telling anecdote about the opportunities that can emerge inside a recording session.

Emmanuel Curtil and the musical identity of Simba

Emmanuel Curtil supplied another direct connection to a defining Disney film: the adult Simba in the French version of The Lion King. Disney’s French press material credits him with both dialogue and singing. That distinction is essential to understanding his relevance to a concert. The voice associated with the character’s dramatic scenes also participates in the musical storytelling, joining spoken performance and melody within the same screen identity.

Nathalie Homs and the wider craft of French dubbing

Nathalie Homs’ connection to Disney and Pixar is independently documented: Disney’s French announcement for Turning Red credits her, under Nathalie Homs Hayat, as Lily. That credit adds contemporary animation to an article whose other reference points largely reach back to the 1990s. Her individual songs or exact concert duties are not specified.  Taken together, these careers suggest why a Disney concert fits naturally into Paris Manga’s broader celebration of popular culture. Familiarity with a film can begin with a voice, while a convention provides the opportunity to attach that voice to its performer. The most interesting connection here is between different kinds of creative work: introducing Disney on television, interpreting a character, recording a song and returning to the stage years later.
