SDCC 2026: Rokimoto Red Cup Series Takes Over Booth #4945
SDCC 2026: Rokimoto Brings Red Cup Collectibles and Licensed Exclusives to Booth #4945
Wednesday 22 July, 11:00 PM PT San Diego, San Diego Convention Center, Rokimoto Booth #4945 2026-07-22 → 2026-07-26
At San Diego Comic-Con 2026, Rokimoto used Booth #4945 to push one of its most distinctive ideas into a broader licensed-collectibles format: the Red Cup Series. Comic-Con officially ran from July 23 through July 26, with Preview Night on July 22, and the company’s booth number is independently supported by the official Godzilla announcement and contemporary SDCC coverage. That detail also clears up a possible source of confusion for collectors: Booth #4344 belonged to Rokimoto’s 2025 Comic-Con presence, while the verified 2026 location was Booth #4945.
A new Red Cup format built around the reveal
The Red Cup Series reframes the familiar collectible-figure purchase as an opening experience. Instead of relying on a conventional display box alone, Rokimoto places the figure inside a stylized cup accompanied by a themed sleeve, making the container part of the visual identity of the release. It is an evolution of the food-inspired packaging that had already helped distinguish the brand in a crowded designer-toy market. Rokimoto operates under FunMaker Inc., the collectibles company associated with Funko founder Mike Becker, whose post-Funko projects have continued to emphasize the communal, surprise-driven side of collecting

Godzilla becomes the flagship SDCC 2026 Red Cup exclusive
The most firmly documented centerpiece was the officially licensed Godzilla release. Godzilla’s official website announced that Rokimoto would debut the Red Cup Series at Booth #4945 with an SDCC-exclusive Godzilla collectible, with each cup containing one figure and a themed sleeve. More importantly for chase collectors, selected cups could contain ultra-rare metallic King Ghidorah figures in several colors. The official announcement specified that the collection would be available while supplies lasted, turning the booth visit into both a purchase and a hunt for rarer variants.
The “Slurprise” system makes rarity part of the booth experience
Rokimoto’s playful vocabulary was especially visible in the Godzilla assortment. SDCC tracking documented a Red Cup Series Super Godzilla with Train “Slurprise,” while coverage of the range also referenced elevated surprise tiers around the Godzilla concept. The important distinction is that the officially confirmed King Ghidorah metallic variants were not simply alternate products sitting beside the standard release: they were surprise finds within selected cups. That mechanic gave the line a physical reveal moment well suited to Comic-Con, where limited editions, chases and immediate collector reactions are part of the exhibit-hall culture.

Hello Kitty, Pac-Man and Peanuts broaden the Red Cup lineup
Godzilla was not the only major license attached to Rokimoto’s 2026 convention push. Contemporary SDCC trackers and retailer listings identified Red Cup releases for Hello Kitty, Pac-Man with cherries, Charlie Brown from Peanuts, Cookie Monster from Sesame Street and Monchhichi with a pacifier. A Super Domo Chase Case was also tracked among the convention releases. Taken together, the assortment crossed Japanese character culture, classic American comic-strip heritage, children’s television and videogames without abandoning the same cup-based presentation. That consistency is important: the Red Cup itself functions as the recognizable product architecture even when the licensed character changes completely.
From ramen-cup collectibles to a repeatable licensed platform
The 2026 presentation also makes more sense when viewed against Rokimoto’s previous Comic-Con appearance. In 2025, the company officially operated Booth #4344 and promoted debuts and exclusives including Snoopy and Woodstock products, while specialist coverage described Rokimoto as a brand known for collectibles presented in ramen-cup packaging. One year later, the Red Cup Series offered a more unified framework for multiple properties. Rather than treating unusual packaging as a one-off novelty, Rokimoto effectively turned the cup into a repeatable format that can accommodate characters with very different visual identities.

A cancelled offsite made the exhibit-hall booth even more central
Rokimoto and FunMaker Inc. had initially planned another substantial SDCC 2026 presence away from the convention floor. “Back 2 Fun!” was scheduled for Friday, July 24 at 8:00 p.m. at San Diego’s Balboa Theatre, with advertised ticket prices ranging from roughly $120 to $173 depending on the ticket. The event was subsequently cancelled; Ticketmaster’s 2026 listing confirms the cancelled status. The San Diego Comic-Con Unofficial Blog had described it as the planned follow-up to the company’s 2025 gathering. With that offsite no longer taking place, Booth #4945 became the clearest confirmed destination for Rokimoto’s Comic-Con activity.
Why Rokimoto’s SDCC 2026 strategy stands out
What made the booth notable was less the presence of any single license than the way Rokimoto grouped them under one collecting ritual. Godzilla could appeal to kaiju collectors, Pac-Man to videogame fans, Hello Kitty and Monchhichi to character collectors, Charlie Brown to Peanuts enthusiasts and Cookie Monster to Sesame Street audiences, yet each could still be recognized as part of the same Red Cup family. The strategy gives Rokimoto a visual signature across licenses while preserving the scarcity and chase mechanics that encourage collectors to compare pulls, trade variants and return to a booth.

A verified correction on the Rokimoto booth number
For publication accuracy, Booth #4945 should be used for Rokimoto at SDCC 2026. The official Godzilla site explicitly placed the Red Cup debut at #4945, and July 2026 coverage from the San Diego Comic-Con Unofficial Blog independently gave the same booth number. Rokimoto’s own archived 2025 Comic-Con announcement, by contrast, identifies Booth #4344 for the previous year. The two numbers therefore refer to different editions of Comic-Con rather than competing confirmed locations for the 2026 booth.
