On March 11, 2026, our media outlet had the privilege of attending what turned out to be one of the most memorable concerts of the year in Paris, as Sigrid, known worldwide simply as Sigrid, stopped at the Cabaret Sauvage for the only French date of her European tour, There’s Always More That I Could Say Tour. The event brought an enthusiastic audience in one of the capital’s most unique venues, a circular wooden ballroom located in the Parc de la Villette that has built a reputation for hosting concerts where proximity with the audience creates a rare and almost theatrical atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, the charm of Cabaret Sauvage was impossible to ignore, with its warm lighting, velvet drapes, and intimate configuration perfectly suited to the emotional intensity of the Norwegian singer’s music. Before the main performance, the audience had the opportunity to discover young singer-songwriter Nell Pascal, who opened the evening with a confident and promising set that immediately caught our attention. Her presence on stage, combining fragility and determination, created the ideal introduction to the headliner, and judging by the audience’s reaction, this was clearly an artist to watch closely in the coming years.

The Paris concert marked a special moment in the career of Sigrid, whose trajectory over the past decade has been nothing short of remarkable. Born on September 5, 1996, in Ålesund, Norway, to Håkon Raabe and Anette Sølberg Solbakk, she grew up in a family where music was always present, alongside her siblings Tellef Raabe, himself a musician, and Johanne Solbakk Raabe. Her story has often been told, but hearing her perform live makes it even more striking: the young girl who once cried on stage during a kindergarten performance eventually became one of the most respected voices in modern pop. After learning piano at the age of seven and beginning to sing seriously in her early teens, she wrote her first original song, Sun, at sixteen, encouraged by her brother to stop relying on covers. That early determination led to a record deal with Petroleum Records, festival appearances in Norway, and eventually the release of the now iconic Don’t Kill My Vibe, written with Martin Sjølie, a song that caught the attention of Island Records and launched her internationally. Winning the BBC Sound of 2018 award confirmed what many already suspected: Sigrid was not just another pop newcomer but an artist with a strong identity, capable of mixing vulnerability, anger, and melodic power in a way that felt authentic rather than manufactured.

Her discography has continued to grow steadily, with the albums Sucker Punch (2019), How to Let Go (2022), and the recent There’s Always More That I Could Say (2025), all of which reached the top of the charts in Norway and strong positions in the United Kingdom, proving her appeal far beyond Scandinavia. The latest album, released in October 2025, serves as the backbone of the current tour, and the Paris setlist reflected that balance between new material and fan favorites. The show opened with I’ll Always Be Your Girl” immediately setting the tone with the mix of sincerity and explosive energy that defines her live performances, before moving through Burning Bridges, Kiss The Sky, and Borderline. The crowd reacted loudly to classics like Sucker Punch, High Five, and Mirror, while newer songs such as Jellyfish, Have You Heard This Song Before, and the title track There’s Always More That I Could Say revealed a more introspective side of the artist. One of the highlights of the evening came during the piano section, when Sigrid performed stripped-down versions of There’s Always More That I Could Say, Home to You, and Dynamite, creating a moment of silence in the room that felt almost suspended in time, the audience listening with a level of attention rarely seen in a concert setting.

What makes a Sigrid concert so special is not only the quality of the songs but the sincerity of her stage presence. Between tracks, she spoke to the audience with disarming honesty, laughing about the unpredictability of touring, sharing memories from the writing sessions of the new album, and thanking the Paris crowd for welcoming her so warmly for what she repeatedly reminded us was the only stop of this European leg in France. That sense of exclusivity gave the night an extra emotional weight, as if everyone in the room knew they were witnessing something rare. The energy built steadily toward the final part of the show with The Hype, Eternal Sunshine, and It Gets Dark, before the inevitable explosion of enthusiasm during Don’t Kill My Vibe and the closing anthem Strangers, which had the entire Cabaret Sauvage singing in unison. It was the kind of ending that leaves both the audience and the artist smiling, aware that the connection created during those two hours will not fade quickly.

For us, this concert was also a first encounter with Sigrid on stage, and it exceeded every expectation. Seeing an artist who has already toured with major acts like Adam Levine’s band Maroon 5 or shared stages with George Ezra perform in such an intimate venue felt almost surreal, as if the scale of her career had momentarily shrunk to fit the circular wooden floor of Cabaret Sauvage. The combination of a perfectly chosen setlist, a passionate audience, and an artist at the peak of her confidence resulted in one of those evenings that remind us why live music remains irreplaceable, no matter how many recordings we listen to. As we left the venue, one feeling dominated above all others: this will not be the last time we see Sigrid live, and if the reaction of the Paris crowd is any indication, the next time she returns to France, the room will have to be much bigger.
