Today, our media outlet had the privilege of being invited to the Hasbro showroom, located in the loft at 12 rue Martel in the 10th arrondissement of Paris. In a friendly atmosphere, surrounded by winter decorations and colorful displays, the brand unveiled the must-haves from its 2025 Christmas catalog. The experience was more than just a simple toy presentation: it was a real dive into the world of children's imagination, where each stand revealed an innovation designed to appeal to both children and their families. Among the stars of the season, the return of the legendary Furby, in a Furby DJ version, caused a sensation and captured everyone's attention.
Furby DJ marks the grand return of the 90s icon, updated to suit the current generation. More expressive and colorful than ever, it now stands out with a new musical and rhythmic dimension. Interactive and lively, it dances, blinks, and reacts to sounds to turn every moment into an impromptu mini-party. During the demonstration at the loft, the children present spontaneously invented little dance routines, confirming the product's appeal as a festive and playful companion. Hasbro makes no secret of its ambitions: to offer a toy that is not only nostalgic for parents, but also anchored in the connected daily lives of younger children, who are eager for musical atmospheres and spontaneous interactions.
Alongside Furby, another range has caused a real craze: Nano-Mals. These little sensory companions, which chirp, laugh, and purr, were designed to trigger adorable and unexpected interactions. The demonstration featured several Nano-Mals together, recognizing each other and exchanging sound signals. The effect was captivating due to its almost organic quality, reminding us that the game is as much about stimulating affection as it is about offering moments of togetherness. Budding collectors will be tempted by the sixty or so models planned, each with its own distinct colors and expressions.
Creativity remained at the heart of the showroom, particularly with the Play-Doh sets, which continue to transform the imagination into a limitless field of experimentation. The “My Cake Oven” set, for example, illustrated Hasbro's desire to combine gourmet treats with inventiveness: decorating, stacking, and inventing colorful pastries from modeling clay became almost a miniature culinary ritual. Special mention goes to “Barbie Fashion Show,” where Play-Doh teams up with Barbie to design sparkling dresses and skirts. This combination of fashion and manual play brought smiles to the faces of the adults present, who were amused to see the children transform into improvised stylists for an afternoon.
The passion for speed and duels was embodied in the new Beyblade X sets. The presentation of the “Descente Choc” set highlighted a new arena allowing battles on a raised ramp, transforming each game into a spectacular confrontation. It is clear that Hasbro is already laying the groundwork for next year's major event: the Beyblade X World Championship 2025, which will take place in Japan, where France will be represented by the young champion Erwan Bernard, aged just 9. The announcement of his participation was greeted with genuine national pride in the room, as a nod to the importance of the link between play and performance.
In terms of toys that “grow with the child,” Baby Alive also made an impression at the presentation. The “Baby Grows” model is strikingly realistic, evolving from newborn to toddler, with accessories to accompany each stage. The families in attendance did not hide their interest in this educational concept, designed to recreate the daily actions of parents. The same logic applies to the Peppa Pig universe, which has been expanded with the arrival of Evie, the little sister. Between interactive stuffed animals, multi-story houses, and figurine sets, this license continues to appeal with its ability to reinvent itself while remaining faithful to its television stories.
Finally, it would be impossible not to mention the sure-fire hits of board games. The showroom gave pride of place to the 90th anniversary of Monopoly, reinvented with the “Banking App” edition, which includes a mobile app to make each game more fluid and interactive. On the other hand, the classic Connect 4 has been modernized with its “Connect 4 Madness” version, which makes the pieces bounce and transforms each game into an unpredictable moment, marked by laughter and last-minute alliances. The demonstration even provoked a few bursts of laughter from the journalists themselves, confirming that this “organized chaos” format is sure to be a hit during family holiday gatherings.
With this showroom, Hasbro once again demonstrates its desire to combine heritage and modernity. Between reinvented icons such as the Furby DJ, interactive innovations such as Nano-Mals, and revisited classics such as Monopoly and Connect 4, the 2025 Christmas catalog is positioned as a true celebration of play in all its forms. Leaving the loft, one strong impression remained: Hasbro has not only shown products, but a vision—that of a Christmas where every generation finds its place around a shared universe of laughter, imagination, and togetherness.
