Disneyland - Disneyland Paris: World Premiere is Now Open – A Glamorous Gateway to a Reimagined Park

There’s something uniquely thrilling about watching a place steeped in nostalgia reinvent itself right before your eyes, and that’s exactly the case with the grand reopening of Disneyland Paris’ Walt Disney Studios entrance, now reborn as World Premiere. Officially unveiled to the public on May 15, 2025, this space marks the beginning of a bold new narrative for the park—a multi-year transformation culminating in 2026 with its complete rebranding as Disney Adventure World. But World Premiere isn’t just a fancy makeover; it’s a gateway to a future where immersive storytelling, cinematic aesthetics, and cutting-edge theming converge. Walking into World Premiere feels like stepping onto the red carpet at an old-school Hollywood film debut, only the stars are you and the show you’re about to experience is the magic of Disney itself. The ceiling? A permanent starlit sky. The atmosphere? Electric with glamor, nostalgia, and modern energy. For returning visitors, the shift is striking. The claustrophobic, slightly dated Disney Studio 1 has been replaced with a luminous, expansive boulevard. Although the footprint is technically the same, clever architectural decisions, including the removal of false façades, give the impression of a much larger, open space. Whether it’s the glowing neon-style signage (actually LED for sustainability) or the sleek art deco references baked into every cornice and windowpane, World Premiere immediately asserts itself as a space that honors Disney's past while confidently embracing the future.

The design philosophy behind World Premiere is steeped in authenticity and reverence. According to the Imagineers who have been tirelessly working on this reimagining for the past three years—one year of actual construction—it all began with a simple question: what story do we want to tell the moment our guests walk into the park? The answer came in the form of a romanticized, modern-day film studio boulevard, blending the elegance of classic Hollywood with the immersive magic of contemporary theme park storytelling. From the moment you enter, you’re surrounded by cinematic flourishes. The standout centerpiece, Disney Theater, glows with retro charm and is sure to become one of the most photographed spots in the resort. Across from it sits a beautifully crafted façade inspired by the historic Animation Building from the Disney Burbank campus. Look closely at the windows and you’ll spot shadowy silhouettes—whispers of animators and studio heads hard at work—an Easter egg for those who appreciate the lore behind the mouse. It’s this layering of visuals and narrative that sets World Premiere apart. It doesn’t simply guide you to the rest of the park; it pulls you into a fictional universe where you're both spectator and star.

As for what you can actually do inside World Premiere, the offerings are carefully curated to enhance rather than overwhelm. Foodies are in for a treat at The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant, a gorgeously styled eatery that feels like dining in an outdoor California soirée, complete with terrace and balcony seating. With over 500 places available, it’s designed to accommodate the midday crowd without compromising on ambiance. The decor evokes a charming blend of garden party and film premiere, with string lights, stylized greenery, and furniture that suggests both elegance and comfort. Need a quicker bite? Head over to the Searchlight Kiosk, a snack stand modeled after L.A.’s classic newspaper kiosks that gradually evolved into street-corner cafés. Here, you’ll find light refreshments in a setting that feels more like a scene from a movie than a theme park pit stop. Then there’s Mickey’s of Hollywood Boutique, a retail space that channels the glamor of 1920s American department stores. Though still under construction at the time of our visit, the space promises bold art deco elements, a dramatic alabaster chandelier, and eventually, a centerpiece golden Mickey statue sculpted by Disney legend Eric Goldberg. It’s the kind of place where even shopping becomes part of the narrative, rather than an interruption to it.

Once you've passed through the main corridor of World Premiere, you’ll find yourself in World Premiere Plaza, a sophisticated entertainment district designed to serve as both an extension of the Hollywood fantasy and a functional hub leading to the park’s expanding immersive zones. Think West End meets Broadway with a Disney twist. Theaters in the area will rotate performances tied to Disney and Pixar IPs, all housed in structures boasting a subtle art deco flair. But the transformation doesn't stop at aesthetics. Landscaping has been rethought entirely—Toon Studios now features more greenery, vibrant flowers, and shaded pathways that offer a pleasant contrast to the more industrial vibe of years past. The nearby Place des Stars has been reimagined as an entertainment zone with a dedicated space for performances staged in front of the iconic Tower of Terror, which is now surrounded by carefully manicured gardens. Even Hollywood Boulevard is evolving—while the name remains, many of the static façades are being replaced by real trees to create a sense of depth, perspective, and natural beauty. This thoughtful integration of storytelling and environment is a reminder that Disney doesn’t simply build attractions—it builds worlds.

The significance of World Premiere goes far beyond architecture and aesthetics. In many ways, it’s a testbed for what Disney Adventure World is aiming to become: a theme park experience where each step, each breath, each glance immerses you further into a living, breathing narrative. During our visit, we had the privilege of speaking with Cast Members and Imagineers who were visibly proud of their work—and rightly so. This wasn’t just another refurbishment. It was a coordinated effort involving artistic directors, architects, engineers, and producers, all working toward a singular vision. Seeing them gathered in front of the gleaming new Disney Theater sign, posing for a commemorative photo, felt like a curtain call after an epic performance. You could sense the relief, the joy, and most of all, the belief that this was just the beginning. It’s not just about elevating the entrance—it’s about setting a tone, raising expectations, and laying the groundwork for what promises to be the most ambitious expansion in Disneyland Paris history.

In a year where Disneyland Paris saw its revenue climb to 2.445 billion euros and simultaneously juggled the revamp of Disney Village, the introduction of new nighttime shows, and construction on a future Lion King land, the opening of World Premiere proves that the resort is firing on all cylinders. There’s a momentum now, a clear vision that is reshaping the entire identity of the park. And perhaps that’s what makes World Premiere feel so important. It’s not just a facelift; it’s a narrative transition. A cinematic prologue to a park that is finally ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with its global counterparts. If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to walk into a dream, to be both the audience and the lead actor in your own magical adventure, then you owe it to yourself to walk that red carpet under the stars and discover what awaits beyond the gates of World Premiere. Because at Disneyland Paris, the show is just getting started—and you’re already on the guest list.
