The Paris Manga & Sci-Fi Show 2025 has once again transformed the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center into a hub of creativity and pop culture celebration. This 37th edition, drawing more than 75,000 visitors, has been an unmissable event for fans of anime, manga, science fiction, fantasy, and video games, but above all, it has been a true paradise for cosplayers. Throughout the weekend, the convention floor has been filled with incredible costumes, elaborate props, and fans showcasing their dedication to bringing beloved characters to life.

The Cosplay Village has been one of the most popular attractions this year, offering attendees a chance to take part in crafting workshops, meet-and-greets with professional cosplayers, and spontaneous cosplay parades. The energy and passion in the village have been contagious, with fans exchanging tips on fabric selection, wig styling, armor crafting, and special effects makeup. This year, the space has also introduced cosplay repair stations, allowing last-minute fixes for those preparing for the highly anticipated Cosplay Contest 2025.

Walking through the convention, it has been impossible not to be impressed by the level of craftsmanship displayed by cosplayers. Anime and manga characters dominated the scene, with breathtaking interpretations of fan-favorite protagonists and villains. Several Gojo Satoru cosplayers from Jujutsu Kaisen stood out with their high-tech blindfolds and luminous cursed energy effects, while Chainsaw Man cosplays featuring spinning chainsaws and motion-activated lighting became a frequent sight. The One Piece fandom also made a massive impact, with multiple attendees dressed as Gear 5 Luffy, showcasing creative floating cloud designs and perfectly styled white wigs.

Sci-fi and fantasy lovers also brought their A-game, with meticulously detailed Star Wars Sith Lords, life-sized Halo Spartans, and an incredibly accurate Stargate SG-1 team roaming the event. One of the most talked-about cosplays was an enormous Warhammer 40K Space Marine, whose towering armor and LED-lit weaponry made for a stunning spectacle. Doctor Who fans were left in awe by a Weeping Angel cosplayer, whose hyper-realistic stone-textured costume and retractable wings made it seem as if the eerie creature had stepped right out of the show.

Gaming-inspired cosplays have also been a highlight, with Final Fantasy and Resident Evil characters making a strong impression. A Leon S. Kennedy cosplayer, dressed in his signature R.P.D. gear, even had a zombie Ganado companion, adding to the immersive experience. Meanwhile, a fully armored Doom Slayer turned heads with an incredibly detailed Praetor Suit and a moving chainsaw prop, making it one of the most jaw-dropping cosplays of the event.

The Cosplay Contest 2025 has been the biggest draw for many participants, with categories honoring best craftsmanship, best performance, best group cosplay, and best special effects. Some of the most memorable competitors have included an Iron Man cosplayer with a fully functional mechanical faceplate, a Sailor Moon transformation costume using fiber-optic lighting, and a Diablo IV Lilith with intricate, hand-sculpted horns and realistic gothic armor detailing. As judges deliberate on the winners, the excitement and energy surrounding the competition have been at an all-time high.

What makes Paris Manga & Sci-Fi Show’s cosplay scene so special is the sense of community and mutual appreciation that thrives within it. Cosplayers of all skill levels—whether first-timers or seasoned veterans—have come together to celebrate their favorite franchises, exchange ideas, and admire each other’s craftsmanship. The show floor has been filled with joyful encounters, spontaneous photoshoots, and unforgettable moments, proving once again that cosplay is more than just wearing a costume—it’s a form of artistic expression and a way to bring fictional worlds to life.

As the final day of the Paris Manga & Sci-Fi Show 2025 approaches, the energy remains high, and attendees are making the most of every last moment to showcase their costumes, meet fellow fans, and take part in the celebration of pop culture. Whether through elaborate armor builds, stunning fabric work, or cleverly engineered props, this year’s cosplayers have set a new standard of excellence, ensuring that the event remains a must-visit for any cosplay enthusiast.
