Convention - Japan Expo 2024: Bandai Between Tradition and Modernity

Japan Expo 2024, which takes place from July 11 to 14 at the Parc des Expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte, has established itself as one of the leading events for fans of Japanese culture. With a rich and diverse program, the expo attracts enthusiastic and passionate crowds every year. Among the most eagerly awaited and appreciated stands, the Bandai stand stands out for its sheer scale and the quality of the experiences on offer.

The Bandai stand, occupying a large 420 m² area, captured the attention of visitors from the moment the doors opened. Known for its iconic franchises such as Dragon Ball, Gundam and One Piece, Bandai showcased its latest releases and exclusives. Fans had the opportunity to admire never-before-seen collectible figurines and take part in interactive demonstrations. Characters such as Goku, Luffy and the famous Mobile Suits were presented in the form of life-size statues, attracting many curious onlookers and photo enthusiasts.

Among the main attractions, Bandai Namco Entertainment unveiled several highly anticipated video games, including Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization. Game kiosks were available to allow visitors to try out these new releases in advance. In addition, video game tournaments were organized, offering rewards to the best players and creating a competitive and festive atmosphere.

The stand also featured a section dedicated to Gunpla, the famous Gundam models. Assembly workshops were led by experts, offering advice and techniques to beginners and experienced enthusiasts alike. Visitors could take away their own creations, adding an interactive and personal dimension to the experience.

One of the highlights of Japan Expo 2024 was the presence of many renowned artists and creators. Tsukasa Kotobuki, famous for his work as a character designer on projects such as Saber Marionette J and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin, took part in signing sessions and conferences. Mamoru Yokota, known for his work on Death Note and Naruto Shippûden, was also present, sharing his experience through stage presentations and exciting drawing duels.

Japan Expo 2024 was a real success, celebrating Japanese culture in all its forms. The Bandai booth, with its many attractions and activities, was one of the highlights of the show, offering visitors an immersive and unforgettable experience. By combining tradition and modernity, Japan Expo continues to establish itself as a must-attend event  for fans of Japanese culture, promising even richer and more captivating future editions.
