Lupita Nyong'o Receives Star of the Year Award
Lupita Nyong'o, celebrated for her powerful performances in critically acclaimed films such as 12 Years a Slave, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Black Panther, and Us, was honored with the CinemaCon Star of the Year Award. Up next, she will star in the anticipated sequel A Quiet Place: Day One. Mitch Neuhauser, the managing director of CinemaCon, lauded Nyong'o's decade-spanning career: "In just over ten years, Lupita Nyong'o has established herself as one of the most talented and respected actors of our time. From her Oscar-winning role in 12 Years a Slave to her most chilling and determined performance in Us, she never fails to surprise, captivate, and engross us with each new role she undertakes."

Joseph Quinn Named Breakthrough Performer of the Year
Joseph Quinn, who has become a household name through his role as Eddie Munson in the Netflix series Stranger Things, received the CinemaCon Breakthrough Performer of the Year Award. His forthcoming appearances in A Quiet Place: Day One, Gladiator 2, and as a member of The Fantastic Four spotlight his rising profile in Hollywood. "Joseph Quinn's star is more on the rise than anyone could have anticipated," Neuhauser said. "With two major tentpoles on the horizon in 2024 alone, his performances promise to solidify his status as a leading man in the industry."

Ariana Greenblatt Awarded Rising Star of 2024
Ariana Greenblatt, known for her roles in In the Heights, Barbie, and the Disney+ series Ahsoka, was recognized with the CinemaCon Rising Star of 2024 Award. She is set to portray Tiny Tina in the upcoming Borderlands film. Neuhauser praised Greenblatt's early and rapid rise in the industry: "Acting since the age of six, Ariana has a resume that already includes high-profile films such as Avengers: Infinity War and The One and Only Ivan. Next up, the eagerly anticipated Borderlands will undoubtedly continue this young star's trajectory towards stardom."
