Eddie Murphy takes center stage in this holiday comedy adventure as Chris, a determined man on a mission to win his neighborhood's annual Christmas home decoration contest. Chaos ensues when a deal with the mischievous elf Pepper, played by Jillian Bell, leads to a magical spell that brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life, wreaking havoc on the entire town. Now, Chris, his wife Carol (Tracee Ellis Ross), and their three children must race against the clock to break Pepper's spell, battling deviously magical characters to save Christmas for everyone.

This marks not only Eddie Murphy's first foray into holiday-centric films but also his reunion with director Reginald Hudlin since their successful collaboration on Boomerang. The film, produced by Doug Merrifield, benefits from the collective expertise of Brian Grazer, Eddie Murphy, Karen Lunder, and Charisse Hewitt-Webster.

The journey to Candy Cane Lane began in July 2022 when Eddie Murphy announced a three-film first-look deal with Amazon Prime Video, including a holiday comedy. Reginald Hudlin, who previously directed Murphy in Boomerang (1992), took the directorial reins, while Kelly Younger penned the script inspired by his childhood holiday experiences. The star-studded cast was gradually unveiled, with Tracee Ellis Ross joining Murphy in January 2023, followed by Jillian Bell, Robin Thede, Nick Offerman, Chris Redd, and Danielle Pinnock.

Prepare for a festive explosion as Candy Cane Lane premieres globally on Prime Video this Friday, December 1, 2023. Don't miss the opportunity to embark on a magical holiday adventure with Eddie Murphy and an ensemble cast, promising laughter, heart, and the spirit of Christmas.
