Prime-Video - Candy Cane Lane: Prime Video today unveiled the Christmas Comedy Event with Eddie Murphy

Prime Video is preparing a festive holiday explosion with the exclusive worldwide release of Candy Cane Lane on December 1, 2023. The Christmas comedy, directed by Reginald Hudlin and produced by Eddie Murphy Productions, Imagine Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios, promises an irresistible dose of holiday magic.

The discovery of this must-see film was made at a very successful press event at the Pathé Les Fauvettes in Paris, on November 26, 2023, at 5pm. The cinema was transformed into a magical place where the magic of Christmas came to life, with a sweet buffet, make-up workshop, photobooth and many other enchanting surprises. The cast of Candy Cane Lane includes Eddie Murphy, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jillian Bell, Robin Thede, Nick Offerman, Chris Redd, and many more. Eddie Murphy stars as Chris, a man determined to win his neighborhood's annual Christmas decorating contest. However, chaos ensues when, following an unwitting deal with the mischievous elf Pepper (Jillian Bell), Chris finds himself in a race against time to save Christmas for his family and community.

Candy Cane Lane marks not only Murphy's first holiday-centric film, but also his reunion with director Reginald Hudlin since their fruitful collaboration on  Boomerang. The film is produced by Doug Merrifield and benefits from the expertise of Brian Grazer, Eddie Murphy, Karen Lunder, and Charisse Hewitt-Webster.

Synopsis: 
After Chris inadvertently strikes a deal with a mischievous elf named Pepper to increase his chances of winning, she casts a magical spell that brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life and wreaks havoc all over town. At the risk of ruining his family's vacation, Chris, his wife Carol and their three children must race against time to break Pepper's spell, confront magical and evil characters and save Christmas for everyone.
