Convention - SDCC 2023 : Immerse Yourself in a Multiverse of Entertainment: with Paramount+ The Lodge

The Lodge: A Paramount+ Experience make its official San Diego Comic-Con debut in the downtown Gaslamp District, where attendees will walk through a unique immersive experience featuring current and upcoming Paramount+ original series and movies. Paramount+ will also mark its return to the official convention floor with the Star trek: strange new worlds interactive booth space, which will include exclusive photo opportunities and giveaways. The celebrations kick-off on Thursday, July 20 and go through Sunday, July 23.

In a bid to captivate fans and immerse them in a multitude of their beloved universes, Paramount+ has brought forth an exciting pop-up event known as The Lodge: A Paramount+ Experience. Nestled in the heart of the Gaslamp District during the iconic San Diego Comic-Con, this activation promises an array of interactive activities and photo opportunities spanning ten diverse fandoms. Running from Thursday, July 20th to Sunday, July 23rd, attendees have a unique opportunity to explore the convergence of various Paramount+ series. This multifaceted activation showcases an engaging fusion of creativity and entertainment, giving attendees a personalized 50-minute adventure.

The Lodge itself boasts an intricately designed environment reminiscent of a ski resort, reflecting Paramount's "Mountain of Entertainment" campaign. The sprawling exhibit is a treasure trove of experiences from numerous popular franchises, inviting fans to delve into their favorite shows like never before. 

Some of the captivating highlights include:
-          1923: Discover a hidden speakeasy, the Silver Dollar Soda Shop, offering vintage-style portrait opportunities alongside delightful root beer or specialty cocktails.
-          CBS Sports: Immerse yourself in sports history with a twist at the iconic CBS Sports desk, including a sports-themed Hall of Fame wall and friendly shuffleboard games.
-          Good Burger 2: Fans can indulge in delicious tray-passed sliders from the beloved Good Burger counter, invoking nostalgia and culinary delight.
-          Ink Master: Experience the allure of airbrush tattoos with options from beloved Paramount+ shows, from Beavis and Butt-Head to RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.
-          Pet Sematary: This eerie photo moment transports guests to the film's themes, adding aftereffects for a beautifully haunting result.
-          Special Ops: Lioness: Embark on a journey through the CIA safe house, where guests will partake in interactive tests aligned with intriguing female archetypes, receiving character-match write-ups and tune-in information.
-          SpongeBob SquarePants: Dive under the sea to the Krusty Krab and capture an underwater selfie at the boat set, capturing the essence of Bikini Bottom.
-          Star Trek: A returning fan favorite, the Caricature Studios offer the chance to be sketched as one's own Trek character, complete with a selection of preset characteristics.
-          Transformers: Rise of the Beasts: Energon Station invites fans to rejuvenate with tantalizing Primal Brew (cold brew) and Autobot Tea (iced tea), while immersing themselves in the Transformers universe.
-          Yellowjackets: Step into Lottie's serene compound and unravel the mysteries within. Those fortunate enough to unveil the iconic antler queen will leave with bespoke Yellowjackets playing cards.

Visitors were not only treated to immersive experiences but also given swag like themed honey, playing cards, and special deals on Paramount+ subscriptions. The activation's cleverly crafted photo ops, puzzles, and interactive showcases provided an ideal respite from the bustling convention center. The Lodge: A Paramount+ Experience proved to be a resounding success, capturing attendees' imaginations and offering a memorable escape into their favorite fictional realms. As San Diego Comic-Con continues to evolve, Paramount+'s initiative to blend entertainment and engagement sets a shining example for the future of fan-focused activations.
