The Sand Land manga, created by Akira Toriyama, is set to receive its own movie this year. Excitingly, the world premiere of the new Sand Land movie has been announced to take place at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. This signifies a major comeback for Akira Toriyama's original Sand Land manga, which is not only getting a new video game adaptation but also a feature film that will bring the beloved miniseries to life. Fans will have the opportunity to see the movie before its general release. During Bandai Namco Entertainment's panel at Anime Expo 2023, it was revealed that a world premiere screening for the Sand Land movie will take place at San Diego Comic-Con. Although the exact timing of the premiere is yet to be disclosed, San Diego Comic-Con is set to occur from July 21st to 23rd at the San Diego Convention Center this summer.

Directed by Toshihisa Yokoshima and produced by Sunrise, Kamikaze Douga, and Anima, the film features a script by Hayashi Mori and music composed by Yugo Kanno. The voice cast includes Mutsumi Tamura as Beelzebub, Kazuhiro Yamaji as Rao, Cho as Thief, Satoshi Tsuruoka as General Are, Nobuo Tobita as General Zau, Akio Otsuka as Satan, Chafurin as the King, Tomokazu Sugita as Swimmer's Papa, Koji Yusa as Pike, Hiroyuki Yoshino as Shark, and Masafumi Kobatake as Guppy.

Synopsis :
In the far future, war has ravaged the Earth, leaving behind a barren wasteland where water is controlled by a greedy king. Sheriff Rao seeks a long-lost lake and enlists the help of the demon king, who sends his son Beelzebub and the assistant Thief. Together, this unlikely trio embarks on a desert adventure, facing dragons, bandits, and the King's army itself.
