Convention - SDCC 2023 : Dawn Of DC collection debuts at San Diego comic-con

It just might be the most wonderful time of the year, Hros! 

We’re thrilled to unveil an all-new, highly anticipated collection made for the fans by the fans, and it’s launching at none other than San Diego Comic-Con on July 19.  We’re of course talking about the Dawn of DC Collection, which will not only bring us 21 new hybrid trading card designs but also introduce us to Hro’s newest innovation–the Mega Card!  And we know you want them, so we’re bringing Rewards along to this party as well! Those who complete the entire set as well as the Hros atop the community leaderboards at the time of our snapshot on October 1 will be eligible for some incredible bonus cards that we can’t wait to tell you more about. 

We’re sure you’re as excited as we are about that main collection, but we of course want to make sure you’re fully up to speed about that shiny new toy on the block that we’re calling the Mega Card. First and foremost, it’s BIG! The Mega Card clocks in at about 88 x 126 mm / 3.46 x 4.96 in, which certainly makes it stand out in comparison to a standard-sized trading card. What it can do, though, is what really brings the word “Mega” to life: once you scan each Mega Card into the Hro mobile app, it unlocks the redemption of a bonus, all new digital pack that we’re calling “Dawn of DC”: Titans! Awesome, right?! And we’ll have all the details for you later on in the blog about what to expect from those bonus packs. 

But, for now, let’s cover how you can get your hands on a Mega Card…and the good news is that it couldn’t be easier! That’s because each “Dawn of DC” Collection hybrid pack (about 8,500 have been produced) is guaranteed to contain at least one Mega Card (there are three different Mega Card designs, each one focused on a different DC Super Hero family and aligned with a different rarity tier). 

The competition snapshot for this entire Dawn of DC drop will take place on October 1, 2023…and you’re not going to want to miss out on what we have in store for the Hros who take flight with us on this adventure!

For anyone able to collect the entire 21-card set, they will receive a Mythic-tier card featuring DC’s Future State Trinity, which includes Yara Flor (Wonder Woman), Jace Fox (Batman), and Jon Kent (Superman)…a perfect and connected complement to the existing Mythic-tier Trinity card that we mentioned above.Hros who have successfully gathered all 21 hybrid trading cards in the Dawn of DC Events collection will be rewarded with a “Future State Trinity” completion reward card, featuring Wonder Girl (Yara Flor), Batman (Jace Fox) and Superman (Jon Kent). Card tier to be determined based on the final count of completed sets at the time of the snapshot. This card connects to the Trinity Mythic card from the Dawn of DC Events set.

On top of the Completion Reward, there will also be two Reward Cards for the top 150 and top 300 Dawn of DC hybrid collectors in addition to a bonus Reward Card for the top 300 collectors who participate in the extra digital drop (“Dawn of DC”: Titans) unlocked by the Mega Card. 
– For the top 150 hybrid collectors, we’ve created a Hro-tier card starring Hawkman (Carter Hall) 
– For the top 300 hybrid collectors, you’ll receive an incredible Mythic Card featuring Nubia (and, yes, the top 150 hybrid collectors get both the Nubia and the Hawkman cards!)

And last but not least: we have a first-ever digital-from physical redeemable pack! As we mentioned earlier, each Mega Card from the “Dawn of DC” Collection hybrid packs will unlock the opportunity to redeem a Dawn of DC : Titans digital trading card set completely free! So, what’s inside of these special packs? 

But wait…there’s more! In addition to the four card designs presented above, there will also be a fifth, Legendary-tier Nightwing piece of artwork that can be obtained through crafting! – Legendary Tier: Nightwing (Dick Grayson). Now, let’s outline what you’ll need in order to craft this epic addition to the set: – One (1) Common Card from the “Dawn of DC”: Titans digital set – One (1) Uncommon Card from the “Dawn of DC”: Titans digital set – One (1) Superior Card from the “Dawn of DC”: Titans digital set – One (1) Epic Card from the Dawn of DC : Titans digital set – 19,900 Hro Points And for anyone who can snag all five of these “Dawn of DC”: Titans designs, you’ll see that they actually come together to form a show-stopping connected scene that we know will be a prized part of your collections forever.
