By Mulder, Paris, Forum des Images, 05 july 2023

This evening, our media had the opportunity to attend the screening of Anatomy of a Fall ,directed by Justine Triet and awarded the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. After the screening, we had the opportunity to meet co-writer and director Justine Triet, as well as actors Milo Machado Graner and Antoine Reinartz.

Anatomy of a Fall is a French film shot in March and April 2022, mainly in Savoie, in the Maurienne Valley (Villarembert, Fontcouverte-la-Toussuire, Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne and Saint-Léger), as well as in Isère (Montbonnot-Saint-Martin and Grenoble) and Charente-Maritime, notably at the courthouse in Saintes.

Presented in official competition at the Cannes Film Festival 2023, the film won the prestigious Palme d'Or. At the award ceremony, the director gave a speech criticizing the current evolution of the French government's cultural policy, as well as its attitude towards the Social Movement against pension reform in France in 2023.
