Harry Potter is a film series based on the eponymous novels by J. K. Rowling. The series is produced and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and consists of eight fantasy films, beginning with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) and culminating with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (2011) A spin-off prequel series, planned to consist of five films, started with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016), marking the beginning of the Wizarding World shared media franchise. The series was mainly produced by David Heyman, and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson as the three leading characters: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. Four directors worked on the series: Chris Columbus, Alfonso Cuarón, Mike Newell, and David Yates. Michael Goldenberg wrote the screenplay for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007), while the remaining films' screenplays were written by Steve Kloves. Production took place over ten years, with the main story arc following Harry's quest to overcome his arch-enemy Lord Voldemort.[6] Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final novel in the series, was adapted into two feature-length parts. Part 1 was released in November 2010, and Part 2 was released in July 2011. Philosopher's Stone and Deathly Hallows – Part 2 are among the 50 highest-grossing films of all time—at 48th- and 15th-highest, respectively—with both grossing over $1 billion. It is the fourth-highest-grossing film series, with $7.7 billion in worldwide receipts.

Mark Williams is best known for his portrayal of Arthur Weasley, father of the Weasley family, in the hit saga Harry Potter, as well as his role in the television series Doctor Who, in which he played Brian Williams. In the film world since 1980, he played in Disney's 101 Dalmatians as the cruel puppy kidnapper Horace. He also played Jeff in The Little World of the Borrowers. Mark Williams also made a name for himself in the British comedy show BBC: The Fast show, as a presenter.

Rowling wrote the screenplays for each film, with Steve Kloves returning from the Harry Potter film series to co-write the third film: The Secrets of Dumbledore. Production has taken place over six years, with the main story arc following Dumbledore and his agents' quest to overcome Grindelwald, his lost love, as the First Wizarding War and Second World War approach. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was released worldwide on 18 November 2016, followed by The Crimes of Grindelwald on 16 November 2018, and The Secrets of Dumbledore on 15 April 2022. The series has been commercially successful, having collectively grossed $1.8 billion across three films so far. However, the series has received positive to mixed critical reception, with many critics deeming it inferior to the Harry Potter films.
A multi-talented artist, Daniel Fogler is the man who played Jacob Kowalski in The Fantastic Animals and Luke in The Walking Dead. Active in the theatre as well as on the small and big screen, Dan Fogler plays in all registers, from crime series such as Hannibal or Secret & Lies to sitcoms such as The Goldbergs, but it is his role as Jacob Kowalski in The Fantastic Beasts in 2016 that made him known to the general public. In 2018, he joined the cast of The Walking Dead with the character of Luke, which will become a recurring role from season 9 onwards. Dan Fogler also lends his voice to Zeng in the animated film Kung Fu Panda and to Governor Bradford in Funny Turkeys. Alison Sudol came to public attention through her performance as Queenie Goldstein in the successful Fantastic Animals film series, based on the Harry Potter universe. But beware of being bewitched like Jacob by the voice of this young witch who sings a song she wrote herself in a scene cut from the first film.
