M3GAN is an upcoming American science fiction horror film directed by Gerard Johnstone from a screenplay by Akela Cooper and a story by Cooper and James Wan. 

M3GAN is more than a toy. It's part of the family. Terror has a new face, and it's brought to us by the best of modern horror thanks to the collaboration between James Wan, the filmmaker behind the Saw, Insidious and The Conjuring franchises, and Blumhouse, the production company behind the Halloween franchise, as well as films like phone and The invisible man.

The film stars Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Ronny Chieng and Brian Jordan Alvarez. It is produced by Jason Blum and James Wan under their Blumhouse Productions and Atomic Monster Productions banners, respectively, alongside Divide/Conquer. 

M3GAN is scheduled to be released in France on December 28 2022 ad in the United States on January 6, 2023, by Universal Pictures.

Synopsis: 
M3GAN is a technological miracle, a cyber doll whose artificial intelligence is programmed to be a child's ideal companion and a parent's most trusted ally. Designed by Gemma (Get Out's Allison Williams) the brilliant roboticist at a toy company, M3GAN can listen, observe and learn while being both friend and teacher, playmate and protector to the child she is bonded to. When Gemma suddenly becomes responsible for her 8-year-old niece, Cady (Violet McGraw of The Haunting of Hill House), whose parents have suddenly passed away, she is completely unprepared for her role. Overwhelmed and under pressure at work, she decides to link the M3GAN prototype still in development with the little girl, in a desperate attempt to solve her problems on both fronts. A decision that will lead to terrible consequences.
