Disney+ - The Mandalorian : A press conference in Los Angeles

The Mandalorian is an american space-opera web television series scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on November 12, 2019. Set in the Star Wars universe, the series will take place a few years after the events of Return of the Jedi and follows a lone Mandalorian gunfighter beyond the reaches of the New Republic. Jon Favreau served as a writer, creator, and showrunner and will executive produce alongside Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, and Werner Herzog star. There will be eight episodes in the first season.

During a press conference in Los Angeles, Jon Favreau (writer, creator, and showrunner), Dave Filoni (executive producer) and the main cast Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano and Carl Weathers were present to answer to the press questions. 27 minutes of this new serie had been also shown to the press.

The directors of the first season episodes will be Dave Filoni (Episodes 1 and 5), Rick Famuyiwa (Episodes 2 and 6), Deborah Chow (Episodes 3 and 7), Bryce Dallas Howard (Episode 4) and Taika Waititi (Episode 8). Carl Weathers will direct an episode of the second season.

Synopsis :
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. ‘The Mandalorian’ is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic….
