Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha/Black Widow in Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller Black Widow—the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Florence Pugh stars as Yelena; David Harbour as Alexei, aka The Red Guardian; and Rachel Weisz as Melina. Directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige, Black Widow hits U.S. theaters on May 1, 2020.

Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is intended to be the twenty-fourth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Cate Shortland, written by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson, and stars Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow, alongside David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, and Rachel Weisz.

Set after the events of Captain America: Civil War (2016), the film sees Romanoff on the run and forced to confront her past. Filming took place from May to October, in Norway, Budapest, Morocco, Pinewood Studios in England, and in Macon, Georgia. Black Widow is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on May 1, 2020.
