DC-Universe - Titans new villain for season 2, Deathstroke has been casted

By Mulder, 13 march 2019

The first original live-action series of the DC Universe service, Titans will feature the classic and most iconic villain for the team, Slade Wilson also known as Deathstroke. The casting news broke out on Wednesday, march 13th and the actor who will be representing the role of “The terminator” is Esai Morales. The series was already renewed for a second season upon its highly anticipated premiered and was announced during a panel at NYCC 2018 last October.

As Trigon was the main antagonist all along the first season of Titans, Slade seems to be the perfect choice for the part in the second season as he’s the main antagonist for the Titans team since the beginning according to its comic counterpart. On season 2, the series will introduce more characters such as Conner Kent / Superboy (played by Joshua Orphin). This will be the third time Slade Wilson will be portrayed in a live-action scene, joining the actors Manu Bennett (Slade Wilson on Arrow) and Joe Mangianello (Deathstroke, on the DCEU movies).

Most recently, Slade appear on the second season of Young Justice, “Young Justice: Invasion” in 2012 and was back in the first half or the latest season “Young Justice: Outsiders” with a little on screen time (available exclusive on DC Universe); and on the DC animated universe in “Teen Titans: The Judas Contract” (available on DVD). He also was feature on the original “Teen Titans” cartoon from 2003 (broadcasted on Cartoon Network and currently available on DC universe) and on “Teen Titans Go! To the Movies”, premiered on July 2018.
