Sorties - LA LA Land and Warner Bros. Studio Tour for the 89th Academy Awards

This week, Warner Bros. opened its doors to the press from around the world to visit La La Land. As a limited addition to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood will spotlight Lionsgate's Oscar nominated film from Feb. 18 to March 6, 2017. Guests can find themselves in a scene from the film as they step onto the ‘Cafe Sur Le Lot,’ coffee shop set which has been carefully reconstructed to allows visitors to immerse themselves in film history. La La Land has received a record tying 14 Academy Award nominations and has won seven Golden Globe Awards.
Jack Thomas, a tour guide gave us a small introduction to La La Land and the finer parts of the history behind the production of La La Land and how much Emma Stone who played Mia enjoyed the backlot of Warner Bros. The set that was reproduced has the same details as the original set contained.
Thomas provided a excellent guided tour of the 110-acre studio that started with La La land and continued of DC Universe: the Exhibit which the studio has pulled out of its vaults the first issues of each of the comics that portrayed all seven Super Heroes of the Justice League; which includes Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Batman, Superman, and the Flash.
The exhibit also includes set pieces from the recent movie of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad.
The second part of the exhibit on the second floor showcases how J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World has been brought to life over the past 15 years. There are set pieces from Dumbledore’s Army, sporting gear from Quidditch, the outfits of Harry and crew, and even Dobby the house elf showed up. For those looking to find out which house the sorting hat will finally give you your long awaited answer.
For true fans of the Batman movie series the Picture Car Vault has been filled with Batman’s most famous vehicles. The various Batmobiles, Bat cycles, Batjet, and the Batsignal. Visitors should ask their tour guide about the special features of the Batmobile with the big red button.
The tour concludes at Stage 48: Script to Screen which includes an interactive soundstage that offers guests the unique opportunity to explore the full film and television production process and the glory of the awards season. You start at Central Perk from Friends, move through the final set of Two and a Half Men, pass screens from the Lego Movie, dodge the Flying Ford Anglia from Harry Potter, see the napkid that started Josiah Bartlet played by Martin Sheen to become President of the United States in West Wing, and the showcase of February theme of romance with the outfits of Penny and Leonard from the Big Bang Theory and Luke and Lorelai from Gilmore Girls.
Before you leave you have the opportunity to choose a green screen experience of riding the Batcycle or Nimbus 2000 from Harry Potter.
