Kidrobot, the world’s premiere designer and online retailer of limited edition art toys and apparel has partnered with art toy and collectible store, 3DRetro, for an official Adult Swim mini series release party and signing event this Friday, April 28th, 2017 6pm-11pm PDT at 3DRetro in Glendale, California. The fan event celebrates the release of the new collector figures based around several of Adult Swim’s hit series. The release will include the new medium sized Rick and Morty figure as well as the new Adult Swim Blind Box Mini Figures which features characters from Rick & Morty, Venture Brothers, Samurai Jack, Fish Center, Robot Chicken, Squidbillies, the smash viral hit Too Many Cooks and everyone's cult favorite mobile game Robot Unicorn Attack. Cast and creators from Rick and Morty, Robot Chicken and other special guests from Adult Swim were here on hand during the event to sign figures for fans. The collectible Adult Swim Blind Box Mini Series will be available for order on Kidrobot.com and in select retailers on Friday, April 28th, 2017 at 10am MST.

The 3D Retro release and signing party had an awesome turn out and was a complete success. In attendance from [adult swim] were existential sci-fi comedy creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland of the widely popular series "Rick & Morty" as well as Matt Senreich and Seth Green of equally loved "Robot Chicken."

The line was filled with excited fans first to buy the new collaboration between Kidrobot and [adult swim] for the all new Blind Box Mini Series and after to have their purchases autographed. Out of the 24 possibilities are characters from Rick & Morty, Venture Brothers, Samurai Jack, Fish Center, Robot Chicken, Squidbillies, the viral hit Too Many Cooks and the Robot Unicorn Attack app.

After purchasing merchandise fans were given a raffle ticket number to determine their placement in line for the [adult swim] tv show creators signatures. This process could have been approached in a more streamline manner but despite the mild chaos there were still such festivities to enjoy as the scrumptious and delicious food trucks, Go Fusion N Grill, Pinch of Flavor and Blast Ice Cream.

To satisfy the visual appetite in the 3D Retro lot was a masterfully accomplished mural by Matt Gondek @gondekdraws and @frankz1lla. This was astounding as they displeasingly stated how they had been painting for hours with a forceful wind causing undesirable drip to occur but regardless their work was fantastically detailed and Rick and Morty connoisseurs did not shy away from asking for a photo op with the mural and artists. Juan Muniz was also close by working on a new piece for [adult swim] for the fans waiting in line that did not falter as they eagerly awaited having their memorabilia autographed.

There was also plenty of fan made art to be seen, two of which were exquisitely rendered figures of Beth and Jerry from another of "Rick & Morty's" hilarious episodes "Big Trouble in Little Sanchez." Artist Tiersa Coseart was their to showcase her polymer clay mythologs to Justin Roiland who also posted a short video on his twitter account.

Hopefully more of her work is seen ahead as she aspires to work with 3DRetro in the future. Unfortunately Seth Green left early as he had a scheduling conflict but being such a wonderful person he came out to apologize and thank the fans who had still been waiting outside for their autographs. Overall the night was a little chilly but the burning passion that these [adult swim] enthusiasts had kept them warm and as 3D Retro showcased episodes of Rick & Morty via a projector on the side of their building.. laughter, food and common ground was enjoyed.
