Now that we can play our favorite classics on our laptops, phones and even in miniature form, there still feels like there is something missing from this retro trend. It’s that special feeling you have when you play on a real cabinet. How cool would it be to bring that home? Now you can with Arcade1Up by Tastemakers, LLC. – the affordable at-home arcade cabinet. Standing at 4 feet tall with classic style joysticks and button set up, these rad retro replicas feature fully functional versions of video games from the golden age, including Street Fighter II, Asteroids, and Centipede. These games are displayed on 17” color L.C.D. screens and coins are not needed, making this the perfect in-home cabinet for continuous play. Join the retro craze and master your combos, study the patterns, and bust out your best smack talk with Arcade1Up!

At four feet tall, Arcade1Up definitely packs a big punch, for a little package. Arcade1Up brings back some of the most popular arcade games from the golden age ever created. But they are redesigned in traditional classic form. Arcade1Up is made by Tastemakers, LLC. – and is an affordable at-home arcade cabinet. The cabinets are easy to assemble. Arcade1Up has five cabinets to choose from, each including four classic games inside of that. Each cabinet is displayed on 17” color L.C.D. screens/ hi-resolution screens, and sound. Along with a joystick and control buttons that match the original game.

When I walked into the suite for Arcade1Up. I was amazed by the quality of the cabinets off the bat. I grew up on retro games so I was impressed. Arcade1Up got all the Official Licensed Authentic Cabinet Artwork. So the cabinets looked just like they did when they came out originally. The cabinets are at a 3/4 scale, so you can play seated, standing or on a gaming stool. The monitor screen is a 17’’ LCD screen. You have the option to play multi player games or by yourself. Most importantly you can play this game at home and coins are not needed.

When you play the Arcade1Up, this is the closet thing you can get to a true arcade experience. It has authentic jock sticks, trackballs, buttons, and sounds. Atari’s Centipede Cabinet has the games Centipede, Millipede, Missile Command, and Crystal Castles.

Atari’s Asteroids Cabinet has the games Asteroids, Tempest, Major Havoc, and Lunar Lander. Midway’s Rampage Cabinet has the games Rampage, Defender, Joust, and Gauntlet. Capcom’s Street Fighter II Championship Cabinet has the games Street Fighter II Championship, Super Street Fighter II New Challenger, and Super Street Fighter II Turbo. Capcom’s Final Fight Cabinet has the games Final Fight, 1944: The Loop Master, Ghosts N’ Goblins, and Strider. For this system to be so small, it definitely still holds it’s own.
